Welcome to the newbies.
On the multi vitamin front my midwife said that taking folic acid until about 12 weeks is fine and then I have the 7 day sample of pregnacare in my bounty pack but after that she said that supermarket own is fine as the pregnacare is expensive, as long as it's for pregnancy if that makes sense.
So it's scan day today but at 4pm so I am clock watching at work which is not fun considering I have been awake since 4.30am after having dreams last night that was missing arms.House purchased November 2013

Hi everyone,
I'm still laying low and off with hyperemesis. Am on high dose steroids which are helping but unfortunately do have lots of side effects.
Had our scan on Monday and baby is perfect which is a massive relief. Am waiting for bloods but NT measurement was normal.
Am 13 weeks today so will migrate over to the other thread. I know I wasn't here much but I did appreciate the support!Current debt: M&S £0(£2K) , Tesco £0 (£1.5K), Car loan 6K (paid off!) Barclaycard £1.5K (interest free for 18 months)0 -
Rachel, yes any pregnancy specific vitamin is fine. Watch if you use any others as they may have vitamins in it (A specifically) that could harm the baby. Folic acid won't harm if you continue taking one with it in for the duration.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

Wow seems to be a lost of posts since I was last here!
Welcome Tinks, Claire and Apple. Congrats to you all! (and the same to anyone I missed).
South - I am glad to hear the scan went well. Hope the hyperemesis eases off soon.
Hope the scan goes well Mrs_Rachel.
I've been taking pregnecare. Seem to be ok with. DH and I were taking the conception one when we were trying to conceive.
Nausea seems to mostly affect me in the evening. Which is good in that I don't have to hide it at work. However it makes brushing my teeth before bed a juggling act, to stop before it makes me sick!0 -
Oh my gosh! Today's new symptom is itchy palms and soles of my feet. I've never had it before in my life so I'm guessing it's pregnancy related. Losing my mind!!!

Hi, re these symptoms I would call your midwife and let her know. I started itching quite bad at around week 20 and I was asked to go into hospital for blood tests to see if I had obstetric cholestasis (fortunately I didn't) whilst it seems quite a rare condition it really needs checking out. I wasn't itching on my hands/feet but this was one of the symptoms.
Sorry don't want to worry you at all but best to get seen to. xxMarried 1st October 2015:heartpuls

Hello again,
Thanks for the welcome! Sorry for everyone who is being sick. Luckily for me I am OK apart from extreme tiredness and sore breasts and I am thankful for that.
Strange symptoms.. My taste in food is changing. Things I normally loathe are appealing to me.. It's really unnerving!
I have been taking pregnacare and have been fine with it so far.0 -
Sorry you've been so ill Southoftheriver, but I'm so pleased your scan went well.
Now that my reflux/indigestion is under control with Omeprazole my symptoms are extreme tiredness, mild nausea (which gets worse if I don't eat every 2 hours and keep hydrated), tender breasts, and vivid dreams (very strange as I never had that before).
I don't feel like proper dinners rights now so I'm probably not eating as healthy as I'd like and pieces of meat seem unappealing. I know this will pass though so it's just do what I can to get to 16ish weeks.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
At the weekend and through to Tuesday I had nausea when I was eating and was constantly peeing....yesterday and today I've had no symptoms at all. Should I be worried about that or am I being a total panic merchant!!?

haha you're probably right pigpen! I'll soon be wishing for no symptoms!
Hubby got fed up of me worrying and googled it earlier to reassure me it's perfectly normal, especially at this early stage! So I feel a bit better!0
