Hello all
Another new one here
I'm 9+4, got my BFP a month ago on third cycle of NTNP, big surprise because I'm 37 and didn't expect it to happen so quickly. I have my booking in appointment on 4 May, seems quite late... Hoping scan will happen very soon after!
Cheers

Just wanted to say thank you to those who sent good wishes.
The last few weeks had a couple more concerns but I'm pleased to say our little one was measuring 12+2 at the scan and its heart is beating away.
I was pretty sick from 5+6 but was carrying twins originally and things got better from around 9 weeks, hopefully you won't feel too awful tinks.
I found out I was allergic to Pregnacare so have been taking the Tesco pregnancy vitamins which my dr and midwife are both confident are fine and provide everything needed.
Good luck all.0 -
saz.. quite a lot of people have issues with pregnacare.. tbh i think most are a money making scam and not really necessary especially in the first few months when your body isnt actually supporting the baby nutritionally.
I can't take any they all contain iron and it makes me incredibly ill.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I had a nosey online at pregncare and couldn't see a breakdown for amounts of vitamins/minerals they included, not really a good sign as it makes you wonder if the content/quality is, especially with the price tag they have.
My midwife recommended the NHS vitamins which were about £1 a bottle iirc. I already had some by Vitamin Code after reading some lab reports on ingredients and quality and getting some with a voucher but I don't think you always get what you pay for with a lot of big brands.
Congratulations to those who have just joined0 -
I've been taking pregnacare but they are expensive so might investigate some others when they are done!
Lots of nausea again today. If I'm like this so early I dread to think how it's going to be as things progress! I seem to have an aversion to anything soft, can only really stomach things with texture or crunch. Hoping this will pass!0 -
Hi- Newbie here. I've come over from
The trying to conceive thread. I'm 4 +4. Been to gp today after doing 5 tests. They took urine and said once results back I can book in with midwife.
Feels really odd and scary. I want to get excited
And tell people but it's so soon I'm
Really anxious. Just told parents and close friend who guessed with the not drinking!!! Every twinge etc scares me. Had slight spotting and period pains last week but that stopped after one night so prob implantation. Not really much symptom wise. Just sore boobs and tonight I've got lower back ache
My friend paid for a private scan a little earlier than 12 weeks so was thinking of doing this? Any advice on this?
Thanks0 -

We're going to book a private scan. I've found some companies do them as early as 6 weeks, whilst others do them from 7 weeks.
We're hoping it will offer a little bit of reassurance before we go away to get married.0 -
Apple I booked an early scan with my first child and I've one booked this weekend for this pregnancy. I'm waiting until I'm 9 weeks as I know so many people that had things stop up until then, but generally if things have been fine at 9 weeks they've usually been fine at the 12 week scan (which always seems to be at 13 weeks for me). The earlier you have a scan the more chance it will need to be internal and you're unlikely to get a good photo as things aren't as developed as at 12 weeks.
I'm having such vivid dreams at the moment. Nothing baby related but so much stronger than usual.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
Nice to see you over here Apple! Congrats!
I've booked a docs appointment for next week. I'll only be 5 weeks so pretty early but I have some questions I want to ask about flying (we have a hol booked at the end of May!) and also around pain killers as I suffer from bouts of sciatica. I know I can't take ibuprofen but I want to check on my pain killers to see if they are safe. I'm also pretty worried about having a flare up when I start gaining weight...it's debilitating at the best of times never mind when pregnant!0 -
Oh my gosh! Today's new symptom is itchy palms and soles of my feet. I've never had it before in my life so I'm guessing it's pregnancy related. Losing my mind!!!0
