Yay Freddie. That's great news for your and your OH. Absolutely delighted for you both.

    Congrats as well Beckyy!
  • Congratulations Freddie, I can't imagine how much of a relief that must be for you both. Hopefully you can both relax a little and enjoy the whole experience more.

Congratulations Beckyy too... I can't wait for my scan, I hope it will make it feel more real as I'm still struggling with it all!

So now that's all sunk in and we've told close family I'm going to head over to the next thread, hope to see you all there soon :j
  • Congratulations Freddie and Becky.

So went to see the doctor last night who said my due date ATM is 11th November however that is based on me being 7 weeks and because my cycles have been all over the place since coming off the pill I could easily be a week more or less gone. He said that it's OK to fly and told me to make a booking in appointment at reception and then said to go away and get fat (my doctor is a little 'querky')

So booking in appointment is next Wednesday at 12.30 (not sure what happens here). But it means I have to go to work for a few hours, head back home to go to this appointment and then head back to work for the rest of the afternoon and then head home. Also trying to find time to eat some lunch otherwise my nausea will be an absolute nightmare. I am mastering silent wrenching in the ladies at work.

I don't envy you having to be sick at work... I am a noisy vomiter at the best of times! Luckily ***touch wood*** I haven't had any yet!

I believe at the booking-in appointment, they go through your medical history, take bloods etc. I'm hoping this is also the opportunity to go through options for delivery as I have no idea where I'm allowed to 'choose', and you get info about foods and looking after yourself etc. Hopefully also antenatal classes etc. Make a list of any questions you have between now and then and take them along! I'm told it can take an hour or more so take a drink and some snacks with you too.

  • This is the wierd thing I am heaving and wrenching but not bringing anything up, or only very little occasionally.

Thank you for the conformation about the booking in appointment. Hopefully things should start to feel more real as I don't really believe that I'm pregnant if that makes any kind of sense. I think I just want proof that there is something in there (does that make me sad?)

I will deffo take snacks and a drink.

    No!

I'm pretty sure that how's most people feel. It only started to feel real after our scan.
