    Thanks Freddie.

Best of luck for this morning!
  • Hi all,

I was wondering if it's OK to join you all as I got my BFP on Sunday morning after ttc since last October.

I think I am about 7ish weeks so very early days but very excited and want to shout it from the rooftops and scared as its a long way to go until 12 weeks. I have an appointment with the doctor this afternoon so I assume they get the ball rolling? I am also scared because I have a surprise birthday weekend in Italy for the hubby next month and I am worried about flying along with a holiday for our wedding anniversary at the end of May. Does anyone know if this will be OK?

Sorry for the bombardment of questions.

    Congratulations Mrs RT!

I flew at 8 weeks on internal flights. From what I can remember reading you're fine in early pregnancy, it's towards the end you need to get Dr.'s approval. You might find you're a bit uncomfortable if you're experiencing any sickness but as long as everything has been going well I don't think there is a medical reason not to fly in early pregnancy, short haul anyway. Your GP/Midwife should put your mind at rest though.
  • Hi Mrs! Congratulations! You are around the same time as me, I'm 7.5 weeks but found out nearly a month ago.

Flying is fine during pregnancy up to 36 weeks (unless it's twins) but in the later stages you might need a doctors note to confirm how far along you are in case the airline asks. You also can't sit in exit row seats.

Too exhausted from lack of sleep to really be feeling any emotion...

    but...

The baby is looking very healthy. Complete skull, mirror image brain. Waving its little hands around, was resting one hand right across its face so looks like a duck in the pictures! But there was one nice one where it clearly had thumb in its mouth.

Baby measuring as 12+4 now. Rather than 12+2 which actually fits perfectly with the date I think we conceived. Could see so much more than at 10 weeks!

the NT measurement was 1.6mm which is great. Well within normal.

Very relieved...or at least I'm sure I am if I wasn't too exhausted to feel anything!
I'd go back to bed now if I didn't have so many jobs to do.
