Will also have to check out the app, thanks for the recommendation Freddie. Good luck with the scan on Wednesday.

That's a very cute way of telling people pyschopathbabble.

We're a little upset that Father's Day is so long after the 12 weeks, as it would of been nice to get our dads grandad cards as a way of letting them know!

DH took in my scan request form today (he works at the hospital) and requested for it not to be a Tuesday as he would like to attend "obviously". He didn't explain that the form was from his wife or he goes to college on Tuesday's so who knows what the lady thought :rotfl:

I've been feeling mostly ok, been very tired and falling asleep early. Also felt a bit nauseous but not been sick yet (fingers crossed that won't happen). DH got me ginger beer to try and help. Have been feeling really bloated after eating, so having to eat less, which is probably a good thing.

Went out for a friends birthday yesterday. We went to a gourmet burger place and I had to ask for my burger to be well done :( finding it hard to chose what to drink when we're out. Trying to avoid Coke and a couple of becks blue seems to be my limited before I am bored/full of it!

    Have you tried Appletiser justme?

There's nothing added into it like a lot of fizzy drinks and it's a bit more exciting than just water.

Feel awful today. Same thing happened the day before the 10 week scan at the EPAU. Was nervous but positive all the way up to the day before, then started feeling so hopeless.

By the actual morning of the scan I felt fine. But I'm so scared today. I just don't want her to have to go through what happened again.

Woke up at 1am and haven't slept since.

Luckily OH slept solidly. Going to force myself to be positive for her. Just want today to be over as soon as possible.

Not long not Freddie! I hope you feel more positive as the day goes on, everything is sounding good for you so far, especially with an early scan under your belt.

    Good luck Freddie.

Re maternity clothes - I found ASOS to be great. a large selection, with varying prices to suit your budget and there is usually a cashback and/or discount offer on.

I'd also recommend getting a couple of staple pieces - ie trousers, jeggings/jeans and tops. That's seen me through most things to be honest - social and work. When I found a pair of trousers I liked, I got two pairs! lol

Unless you are short.. in which case they have nothing!

I'd recommend a few dresses too.. I havent been able to wear trousers since about 18 weeks due to SPD .. I cant get them on!

Freddie.. thats perfectly normal.. the day before my scans I want to cancel them so they cant tell me anything I dont want to hear.. but it was only the one time things weren't as they should be.. :)

I know, keep trying to tell myself that.

It's just tricky to feel positive when our only reference point is our memory of what turned out to be the worst day of our lives. With that shadow overhanging you and no other experience of a scan at this stage it is impossible to feel confident about it.

I know that everything should be fine. But I can't feel it. If you get what I mean.

Thank you all for supportive comments, it's very kind. I hope to be coming back on here tomorrow to tell you that we have a healthy baby growing. More than anything else in the world at the moment. I'd dance through the street, shouting it at the top of my lungs.

Fingers well and truly crossed for you as well Beckyy. I hope everything goes well with your scan and we can both move on to the next thread!

    Best wishes to you all.

Beckyy I do like appletiser but can't drink a lot as its too sweet! I do like sparkling water so guess I'll be drinking a lot more of that!

Got our scan letter through today, which was quick! It's on the 6th May, which seems like an age away.

Fingers crossed and wishing you good luck for tomorrow Freddie.
