I don't think it makes you sad either mrs_rachel, I would like some proof too!

It's weird because I kind of know somethings there but like freddie said I don't think it will feel real until the scan! (Just under 6 weeks, hopefully that will go quickly!).

I was actually sick this morning instead of just feeling nauseous :( hoping that it doesn't start happening more often!
  • I told my husband today I want to do another test in the morning as I don't 'feel' pregnant either... Absolutely no reason to think I'm not, just still can't believe it!

  • Thank you all . It is soo reassuring to know that I'm not going mental.

Had some bad news yesterday, had my dad call to say that family should go down to see my grandfather as he wasn't well (in a nursing home, stopped eating and drinking) managed to get down to see him last night and unfortunately he passed away at 1.45am. Let's just say I'm not really in the Easter spirit. I'm trying to stay calm but it's very difficult. The biggest problem is that I haven't slept much and bearing in mind that I haven't really been sleeping well over the last week or so and what with how emotionally draining the last 24 hours have been, I am exhausted today.

  • Thank you all. My mum wasn't keen on me going as she was worried that I would stress myself out and then I would have some bad news (she knows I'm pregnant).

However we knew that 2016 was probably going to be his last year so it was kind of expected. So I am not stressed, just upset if that makes sense?

I am just glad I was able to say goodbye as I think I would be stressed if I hadn't.

Hello, I'm hoping I can join you, I am currently 8+2, EDD 9/11/16.

I've had a rocky road so far, have spent the last 2 weeks signed off work due to having a miscarriage after lots of fresh bleeding and passing a sizeable clot. I was distraught and had a difficult time coming to terms with everything and was just getting back to strength.

After still being unwell I was sent for a scan yesterday only to find out I had one empty sac and one with an embryo measuring 8 weeks with a heartbeat.

I can't quite express the roller coaster of emotions and the shock and denial I went through yesterday expecting the worst with everything the sonographer said.

I have been assured that there is just as much chance of the embryo surviving but Im very paranoid and the wait till my 12 week scan on 26 April is going to be long and difficult!

I have also been told I have a cyst the size of an egg on my left ovary and if I get pain on that side I shouldn't worry it is pregnancy related. It needs a separate scan in 6 weeks time to monitor it.

    Sorry for the essay!
  • Hi saz, sorry to see you have been going through it... Fingers firmly crossed the sticky one stays put!

Saz.. if it is any reassurance.. I had the same with 2 of mine.. they are now 20 and 21! My 20 y/o I had so much free blood in the uterus the sonographer couldnt see a single thing.. I was 10 weeks before DS2 was big enough and the blood had reduced enough to see he was still ok.. he was the one bit of happy news that day.. the other 10 ladies had all lost their babies :(

  • Hi everyone,

I'm now 9+2, and have been in hospital with hyperemesis since the easter weekend. Utterly miserable. Little one is fine thank goodness but I'm absolutely wiped out and have had to start steroids as nothing else was working.

    How is everyone else doing?
