That's lovely to hear your in laws are so pleased Freddie, something for all to look forward to :)

I'm feeling like I have a little more energy now, until it gets to about 8pm anyway!

Also feeling a little bit of stretching in my tummy area now I'm pretty sure, and my trousers are a little bit tighter. Still waiting to tell our parents, less than 2 weeks til our 12 week scan now so thinking we will wait but not certain.

I hope everyone else is well.

    Hi all,

    Freddie: congrats on the scan.
Saver-j: so sorry to hear you've had to leave.
Hope the rest of you are bearing up ok.

Afm: I'm now 12 weeks today but my scan's not till Thurs so I was wanting to stick around till then if that's ok?
Still no real symptoms. Feel like I'm filling out but that could just be how much I'm eating! Have had some brown spotting on and off for past 3 weeks so am hoping that's nothing to worry about.
It's seemed to take forever to get to the scan stage!

It really does seem like forever. Been even longer this time than before.

I'm sure the spotting won't be anything to worry about. As long as it's just spotting and staying brown or pink, then it's very common.

OH had a fair amount of pink bleeding all at once that's why we ended up having an earlier scan at the Early Pregnancy Unit but everything was fine.

My mother had heavy bleeding all the way through her third pregnancy but everything was still fine.

I'm going to stay on this thread until after out NT scan which could be week 12 or 13, will hopefully find out on Wednesday when we finally have our booking appointment (11+2)

    Hi all :)

Found out I was pregnant on Thursday :j (4 weeks, will be 5 weeks tomorrow). Estimated due date 16th Nov 2016.

We've been TTC since Janaury so seems to have happened very quickly

Haven't booked in any appointments yet, will be doing it this week.

Got two weddings, a hen do and a 30th Birthday party to get through before the 12 week mark. Going to be difficult hiding it from people as I usually drink!

We're both really happy but will be slightly nervous until the first scan. In the mean time am trying to do everything I can and avoiding everything I should, including cutting out caffeine!

    Thanks ☺

1st wedding will be just before 10 weeks. It's the DH's cousins so all the in laws will be there.

2nd is a few days before 12 weeks!
  • I've got my booking appointment tomorrow. Have decided not to bring hubby as it's routine but will probably make the idea of pregnancy a bit more real!

I've got my booking appointment tomorrow.

    Us too!

Even though we're due a month earlier than you. That's how stupidly late this appointment has ended up!

Just glad to finally get our NT scan date hopefully.

We were feeling quite stressed yesterday. My boss spoke to me saying she wanted to completely shift around people's working hours meaning I'd be doing all afternoons in the week.

At the moment I do three full days. Meaning obviously I would have 2 full days during the week to look after baby which was brilliant.

Having to do 5 afternoons with the long commute would have been a nightmare for childcare and increased my travel expenses considerably.

However luckily today, because she knew about it and was concerned about losing me, it's been worked around a bit better.

Now it'll be 2 full days and 2 afternoons.

Meaning I get 1 full day still with baby and two mornings. On one of those days my parents will come and look after them on the afternoon.

So that's not worked out too badly. Feel much better now!

So booking done. I already knew how it worked theoretically but was nice to be on the patient side. Midwife was lovely and explained everything well. I need to have a scan with the fetal medicine consultant because of some pre-existing things.

Seven weeks today. Really struggling with indigestion but luckily nausea is manageable. Still doesn't feel real yet. Everything crossed that this pregnancy goes ok!

Freddie Frugal how was your booking appointment?
