Our early scan was good. We got to confirm baby was there (and that there wasn't any others!), saw the heart beat and yolk sac and got some measurements and pictures. Obviously we couldn't see an awful lot at 9 weeks but it was reassuring and worth it to us for the offer price.

That's great Beckyy pleased to hear it! :D

Well.... All is ok. I cried when she said there was a heartbeat, as I think I was prepared for the worst. Dated 12+2 so in the middle of the original edd and the date I thought.

So I'm off to the next thread. Thank you all much for putting up with my moans over the last few weeks and I hope to see you all on the next thread very soon.x

Thank you Freddie. It seems a little surreal at the moment.

Hope you get the scan date soon.

Great news on the scans Becky and Think Pink.

Hope you get your date soon Freddie. I hope you find food for your oh to eat. I find I get nauseous when I'm hungry so find having a supply of crackers and biscuits to eat before a proper meal. Ginger biscuits especially good for nausea.

    Hope everyone else is well.

  • Congrats on the scans guys!

I've had a cough all week and it's getting worse :( I feel ok except that! I will let the dr know tomorrow but the chemist and midwife have already said there isn't really anything I can take for it.

I'm just under 5 weeks so nothing has really kicked in yet symptom wise but I do find I'm worse than usual if I'm getting hungry, I've always gotten 'hangry' but now I just start to feel ill too if I haven't eaten quickly enough!

Hot water with honey and lemon in does help a bit.. and plain boring paracetamol if you have a temp.

  • Thanks for all the advice on foods, I feel a bit in limbo as I haven't had a referral or anything yet.

I'm going to register to my new GP first thing on the 14th hopefully they can rush me through with an appointment as I will be almost 10 weeks by then.

Really glad your scan went well ThinkPink :)

I've had the letter through for my 12 week scan, which is bang on 12 weeks, I'm very impressed as I was expecting much less notice.

I've got a dose of the cold just now, not sure if it's following my flu jab as the nurse did mention I may get some flu like symptoms or whether I finally caught the cold that's been going around work at the moment. Pretty bunged up but nothing too bad thankfully.

I hope you're feeling better soon psychopathbabble.

Here's hoping they can get you a nice quick appointment First_Trouble. Could it be worth calling them beforehand to try and pre-register? No idea if they would let you.
