When we had an early scan last time it was about £65, but it was quite brief in that it is just a dating scan which checks heartbeat, size etc, whereas a more detailed scan around 11-12 weeks to check nuchal measurements and blood tests is more expensive. (But worth it in if it gives you the reassurance you need).
We have decided if we get good news at the scan we will tell both sets of parents on mother's day, then we will gradually tell more people as and when we want to/ feel ready to over the next few weeks.0 -
Good morning all, we had a bfp yesterday! According to cycle dating I'm 3+6 but actually I know I'm only 2 weeks. So very early. Not sure what to think, am pretty scared right now! DH is delighted, but we have just bought a house (got the keys last Friday) and only got married in January so it's all a bit crazy!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

cycle dates are what matters.. they will change your due date at the booking scan.

Thank you. Bit worried today as I had some bleeding when I was getting ready for work. More than spotting but not quite same as AF. Will keep an eye on it today but fingers crossed its nothing!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

that is very normal.. so long as it stays just as spotting.. your body still tries to have AF so sometimes there is a little.. and again at 6 ad 10 weeks are also very common.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Congrats on your BFP and welcome to the thread :wave:That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!

Freddie - how are you and the wife today?
ThinkPink - That will be a lovely Mothers Day surprise for both sets.
I'm pretty much taking "the eat what I fancy on the days when I can" methodology too. Once the nausea settles there will be plenty of time for healthy eating.
Has anyone been advised by their GP or midwife on what they can and can't eat? I have found some lists on line but when I asked the GP he said no food is off limits? I'm just a bit confused. That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!

first.. they usually give you a leaflet on the do's and don'ts .. but my reasoning is if you have never been made ill by something before the odds of you being made ill in the next few months are very very slim.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

First, I got given a list in a pack at my booking in appointment. I'm cutting out all the foods that are recommended to be avoided, it's only 8 months and will just mean the next time I eat a nice medium rate steak with prawns or pate as a starter will be with a vodka and coke and will be thoroughly enjoyed!!
Hardly had any sleep last night, just worrying about Wednesday now!!0
