    Hi ladies

Just trying to catch up. Turns out I had a severe UTI, so am currently on antibiotics. I got quite sick last week, so I was at home on Thursday and Friday feeling quite sorry for myself. lol Started to feel better on Saturday, but then the smell of cooked pork had me puking again. Lovely!

Still, am definitely much better now and back at work. Scan is on Wednesday afternoon. I am really quite nervous, but excited. I just hope all is OK in there.

Manc - I hope you are feeling OK, and fingers crossed all is wonderful for you.

Sorry if I've missed anything or anyone else, I'm still trying to catch up.

Hugs to all those feeling pants and/or nervous, and welcome to our newbies! :)

    xx

Well that's my booking knocked back a week which means no nuchal scan again because I'll not be getting that until 15 weeks which is way too late.

Apparently they do 3 bookings a week.. that's it.. 3... all on a Tuesday morning.. the first appointment at school drop off, the 3rd at nursery pick up so I'm utterly stuffed.. if I can't make this new appointment for whatever reason I will be discharged.. I get discharged because they are inflexible.. lovely.. and so it begins.. this is why I don't bother. Good job I booked a private scan who again haven't got back to me so I probably wont get that either.

    I'm rather upset now.

I'm sorry to hear that pigpen. That's rubbish. ((HUGS))

Are there any other GP's nearby that you could register with who might have a more flexible system in place? Or is this just how it is round your area?

I hope the private scan people get back to you quickly. If they don't, give them a chase xx

  • Ahh don't be upset pigpen, as euronorris says, can you get into a different trust which may be more flexible?

Euronorris - sorry to hear about the UTI but glad you are on the mend :) My scan is Friday morning, I am excited but petrified too. I think it has come around really quickly, with DC1 it dragged so much. Everything crossed for you x

We have absolutely no options.. the next nearest hospital is 45 miles away.. and everyone here goes through the same farce.. it is stupid.. I am a 'complex case' so it has to be a major hospital..

Thank you! You too! :) It has really dragged for me, but this is my first so I've wanted to be at the 12 week mark and having that first scan ever since I got my BFP! haha This week already feels like it's dragging too! Thankfully I have meetings all afternoon tomorrow, so I'll be completely distracted then! :D

Pigpen - sorry to hear there are no other options for you. Keeping my fingers firmly crossed that the private scan people come back to you asap!

Does anyone else wake up and think am I actually pregnant?

For the past 2 mornings I've woken up with no nausea and no boobie pain. They're starting to hurt a little bit now but not like the start when it was all the time. Am I the only one who worries? DH has told me to chill out but it's not that easy when it's constantly on your mind.

euro sorry to hear you've been poorly but glad you're on the mend x

pigpen that's rubbish about booking in, hope time flies for you until your appt.

I caved and called the midwife for some reassurance, she was really nice and said it sounds like nothing to worry about and to just keep an eye on things and if I get any pain or red blood or can't stop worrying to self refer to the EPU to try and get in earlier than the 15th. I think I will just see how I go this next few days, really busy at work and socially this week so my mind won't have too much time to wander hopefully... x

glad you got some reassurance... and we can't even self refer to EPU or I'd have done that when I was bleeding 3 weeks ago.. moan moan moan lol...

Apparently the mw will get me a scan between Christmas and New Year.. I said good luck with that we are away until the 28th to the 2nd or 3rd Jan lol
