    Good luck tomorrow Purcy!

And congrats plantpot on moving on. Hopefully we will see you there soon enough. 7 more weeks for me.

Thanks for the info on sex. I guess its just a decision we have to make. I could live with no sex, we can work around that, but no big O for 9 months isn't ideal! Also, I must resist the urge to buy every single book mentioned.

My scan is at 11.45am. I said to OH that I was scared and he asked if I'd used the Doppler and I said no cause I was too scared to use that now too! He convinced me to use it so I'd walk into the scan happy and I'm glad I did because I found the heartbeat with the first touch so I'm feeling reassured and looking forward to the scan :-) still a bit scared for some absurd reason though!

Good luck fellow scan-ees!! Must remember to do a pee sample!
  • :j Good Luck purcy, cmace and lilmissmup for tomorrow and I am glad all was OK Plantpot :j

Check out your library! Mine has quite a few pregnancy books and saved me tons! Wish I'd gone there sooner.

Yeah it's not great but anytime I've been feeling a bit er frisky I just remind myself of how I felt after my mc, and the bleeding in this pregnancy and I forget about it! I don't think it needs to be that way for everyone it's only because I've had some problems I certainly wouldn't tell other people to all follow the same line. Maybe ask your ivf dr?

    Good luck purcy!! X

I just came home sick from work :( diarrhoea is really getting me down and feel exhausted and dizzy, and just keep crying and not being able to stop! Argh! Also still stressing about the line on my test being lighter yesterday even though I know logically it doesn't matter...I just feel so worried about this whole thing and even though I know what will be will be and I can't do anything about it, I still am knicker watching constantly and worrying about every little thing. I am worried I don't have symptoms - or enough symptoms - or the symptoms I think I might have are just imagined - I wish there was just some way of knowing for sure whether it was or wasn't going to be ok. ARGH! I am going crazy and can't stop crying...

Ok so....crazy hormones and tears...symptom maybe?!?!

Sorry girls, I know I am a mental case and I also feel guilty because I have no specific reason to worry about this pregnancy - not like lots of you who have had trouble conceiving or had previous miscarriages etc. I just...I think I have a bad feeling. Somewhere some part of me really thinks it is not going to be ok.

    ARGH. someone slap me :(

Daisiegg lots of love, sounds like you're morning sickness is working it's way out the other end, mine was the same

Also, I've had two pregnancies, one mmc and my son. In the first twelve weeks I had a bad feeling about both pregnancies- I was right once but I was wrong once too so please don't feel like your bad feeling is mother's intuition or anything :o

Ok deep breathe. I think a group for relaxation or one -on-one hypo birthing might help. Even if it is not used through labour.

Why don't you run a nice bath- not too hot and try distraction.

And throw away the digi sticks etc - they serve no good now you know you are pregnant. I had a lady who was quite phobic of pregnancy and it took her to 20 weeks to have her bloods done - she had a series of hypno-birthing and it really helped.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Daisiegg, it sounds like you are stressing yourself out to the point of illness.
Stop doing tests, as this is obviously making the whole situation worse in your head...sorry if this sounds horrible but they dont mean much as your body would still be producing hormones even if the worst had happened.
Stop reading stuff online! It makes you think about things too much...
just enjoy your first trimester and remember no amount of worrying can change the outcome.
I know... ive just been through the first 12 weeks and I spent most of it panicking when I should have been happy. I cried for about a week before my 12 week scan as I was sure they werent going to find a baby....im now 16 weeks and trying to be as relaxed aspossible....easier said than done xxx

And get yourself signed off work - doctors are very sympathetic. I know you work in a stressful environment and it will not be helping! Usually a telephone call will suffice.
