Is it really possible to stop worrying!! But glad you are reassured, and thank you for doing such a scientific set of tests for us all!!

Sounds all positive to me. I've given in and got all my tests together and labeled them... As people seem to! How long do people keep them? I actually sent a PIC of the clear blue one to my mum via whatsapp. She said 'I wonder has anyone photographed something like that before!!' Little does she know. ;)
  • T2d. My scan was internal as I have a retroverted uterus and a bladder that fills up sideways so they can never see the ute externally! It wasn't too bad though it was surreal having my (what feels like one millionth) internal scan and actually seeing something good for once!

My midwife appointment is tomorrow and one of the questions I'm going to ask her is should preg tests get darker or not... Anyone got anything they want asking officially?
  • I have my first midwife appt booked for 20th Feb? Does anyone know what to expect? Do I take hubby? I feel absolutely clueless :D

    February GC £26.68/£250

Can you ask if I can have sex!!? Say a friend who has an incompentant cervix and ivf cycle wants to know. Odd question I realise, but I really want to know.

And if yes (or no) is it ok to orgasm? I read it was a risk and can cause contractions. Feel free to not ask if it's too cringeworthy. :)

I know it is different because as far as I know everything is intact and in place for me but we have only had sex once since getting BFP (and no orgasm for me!) I felt a bit weird about it but everything I had read seemed to say it was ok. However after we had done it we were reading in bed and hubby was reading his pregnancy for men book, and for some reason decided to read the chapter on miscarriages and so on...despite me telling him how common they are I don't think it had sunk in at all until he read it in his book, and he got REALLY upset and started to worry that having sex could cause problems. So I had to dig out my book and show him the page about sex in pregnancy that says it is all fine as long as you are having a normal pregnancy. However neither of us have raised the issue again since then!

PS I am officially crazy because I just ordered more CB digi tests even though I know they don't go any higher than 3+. Where will it end?!

I'm picking one up tonight. :) but I've not had the 3+ sign yet so it makes a little sense!
Stupid activity of the day is : I'm replacing our loo paper as it's a pinky orange colour, that looks more pink when damp. Freaks me out!!
  • I broke out my size 12 leggings today, as my old ones are too tight around the tummy- oh the relief! I pointed out to OH that is probably the end of my size 10 figure, and he replied it was heading that way anyway. Cheeky man!

time2deal thankyou for sharing your story, it puts mine into pespective somewhat. I had surgery on my cervix after CIN3 cells in 2009, and had CIN1 again in spetember last year. I was due a follow up in one year, but suspect I will have to wait until everything has returned to normal after birth. I am being referred to a consultant by my midwife just to check my cervix over and make sure I don't need a stitch or anything.

re sex- you probably need to ask your doctor, as you may be given specific advice given yout history. We have avoided it, but mainly because of the pessaries, bleeding and generally yucky feeling I have.

I had a flu jab 2 days ago, and feel pretty horrible now. I gave in and took 2 paracetamol, I figure it's better than running a high temperature!

Oh that would freak me out too! I confess...last week I ordered a load of white knickers. Most of my knickers are dark colours like black, red or purple so if they are slightly er damp :o with normal discharge or whatever, it is impossible to tell if it is red. It was freaking me out so I decided I need white knickers where there is no confusion!
  • I love that we all seem to do the same silly things to re assure ourselves, regardless of our previous experiences!
I too wear light coloured underwear & still make multiple trips to the loo to check for bleeding!
We got our + test on 6th dec & I think we have bd 4 times.

I'm now 12+2 so I will have to move on to the next thread - will still lurk here though!

Out of interest, does anyone have any pregnancy books they would recommend? I have 'what to expect when you are expecting' but I find a lot of it irrelevant - I think it maybe has an American author.

Good luck ladies & hope we all have healthy pregnancies :-)
