hugs daisy - you sound so stressed. can you see if there is something you can find to distract yourself and stop your brain going in loops. What about an easy movie you have seen before. Even a weepy might be good to get those tears out. I do crocheting which helps. It's really easy, but you have to keep count, so you can't really think about much else.
If you can face it, what about a walk in the cold. I always find that calming and refreshing, but obviously only if you feel up to it.
I agree you should stop testing. Was it you who did three tests yesterday with the same wee and got three completely different lines! The tests are variable, so don't read to much into it.0 -
Daisiegg - forgive my delurking but you're getting yourself in such a state, I can't help worrying about you!
If at all possible, make an appointment to see your GP and explain how you're feeling. Feelings of anxiety and sometimes depression are quite common during pregnancy and I think you need some support. Don't feel guilty about your worries, but your doctor may well be able to help you to put them aside to some extent so please consider talking to him or her asap.
Best wishes

Hugs Daisie, for a week just after testing I was getting really high levels of anxiety about pretty much everything, and I'm sure it was just my body's way of adjusting to the different hormone levels. It has settled down now, but it doesn't for everyone so a chat to a GP would help x
I was so tired last night that I forgot to switch the electric blanket off, and woke shortly after DH came up to bed and realised how toasty it was. I am a bit worried that I really shouldn't be doing that - it's not at all safe,! Might have to leave the light on or something until I start to feel warm enough, then turn everything off. I'm going to bed straight after DS has gone to bed, or when I've finished the dishes (DH and I take it in turns), so I'm getting probably 10 hours sleep a night, and I'm still feeling shatteredIt's frustrating as when pregnant with DS I was doing a full days work (walking there and back), coming home and redecorating / plastering our house in the evenings and at weekend. I hadn't expected it'd be so different this time!

Thank you so much everyone, it is really really nice to have people to 'talk' to and feel like people are listening. So your replies are hugely appreciated x
I have my first midwife appointment tomorrow so I will definitely mention my worries to her.
Molly, in theory getting signed off sounds nice but I really can't do that unless I am absolute at death's door. I have so many exam classes and this is a crucial time of yearplus, if you are off sick you have to set work for your classes and actually trying to figure out and set meaningful work each day is incredibly stressful and often worse than just being there yourself. Then when you go back the kids are so cross with you and reproachful that it can take ages to rebuild the relationship. I have tomorrow and then one week and then half term - which I intend to spend mostly in bed!
Thank you again everyone. I am in bed watching old episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and trying to calm down.
Hope everyone else is having a good day x0 -
Old episodes of buffy sounds perfect. God I used to love that show!! I remember they did a weekend (Friday to Sunday) of a number of series in a row and i watched most of it! Before the days of boxsets.0

Ok, just as I was calming down....went to the loo and happened to glance in the mirror, and I have a bright red rash all over my face. Like clusters of little tiny red dots, particularly around my eyes and mouth. My eyes look like they have been punched. Not sore or itchy - very weird. So called the doctor, spoken to a very unfriendly receptionist and waiting for a call back. Probably nothing, but looks really weird0

Had my scan, even though they were questioning why I was there when I'd had one last week (in a nice way!) I said I'd asked at the emergency scan whether I still needed to come to this one and they said yes. Baby was more active this time but they managed to get a good first shot and have moved me forward to 13+3 :j woohoo! Then baby turned towards us and was being very nosey and waving! Sat like a Buddha too haha! So she couldn't get many good pics but everything was looking good so I'm a happy bunny
hope everyone else's scans today have gone well!
I guess it's time for me to move onto the next thread but I wish all you ladies happy and healthy first trimesters and hopefully I'll see you all in the next thread soon! Much love xxx0
