It's been 3 days since I stopped taking progesterone, many ladies AF arrives 3 days later, so I've checked a few times incase the tests were wrong. I had stronger cramps last night and this morning but thankfully nothing's happened yet :-)Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

I too wear light coloured underwear & still make multiple trips to the loo to check for bleeding!
We got our + test on 6th dec & I think we have bd 4 times.
I'm now 12+2 so I will have to move on to the next thread - will still lurk here though!
Out of interest, does anyone have any pregnancy books they would recommend? I have 'what to expect when you are expecting' but I find a lot of it irrelevant - I think it maybe has an American author.
Good luck ladies & hope we all have healthy pregnancies :-)
I have these two books:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1905410603/ref=oh_details_o08_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1405332107/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And they are both brilliant. The first one (pregnancy for modern girls) is really anecdotal and down to earth, and has lots of practical stuff. The second one is a really good factual reference book. It has a page for every day (plus lots of other stuff) and it is really interesting and informative. I would recommend them both - they both do different things in a way. Both are written by UK authors too so they are more relevant when discussing the NHS etc.
Good luck on the next thread up! Exciting!0 -
I like this book. I deal better when I have hard facts, data and science studies to lean on and this woman really breaks down the stuff you should and shouldn't be doing in a way that's really readable and very informative. She is an american author but the relelvant UK data has been put in. Bought that what to expect one and thought it was terrible...

Aw Dasiegg, is there anything you can do take your mind off all of the worrying? Maybe get a new hobby such as Knitting? A shawl will be perfect for an October baby
DanielleNic87 I had my booking appointment on Monday. It was really the midwife working through a booklet. Miss_I originally posted a link, here it is again. http://www.preg.info/PregnancyNotes/PDF/13_1_viewthepages.pdf
The midwife explained each section, the section my midwife spent the most time discussing was screening for down's syndrome and if I wished to have the screening tests done. She took my bloods and also a urine sample. She referred my details to the hospital for my dating scan at 12 weeks and then said she was happy to see me again at 15 weeks.
She would have offered me the flu jab but they had run out in my GP
She gave me my FW8 form for Free prescriptions/ dental treatment which I have to get signed at the 12 week scan once my due date has been confirmed.
I also got my first Bounty pack. Freebies were a decaf teabag and 7 days supply of Seven Seas pregnancy vits & minerals.
I must be exactly the type of person Bounty love as I went out and bought three months supply of the Seven Seas tablets.
If you are entitled to any benefits they have lots of leaflets and information on what you can now claim.
I was actually surprised the Midwife did not do any sort of test to confirm pregnancy (Or ask if I had tested/ how I found out I was pregnant). Unless they do that after you leave?0 -
eeeek big day tomorrow my scan is at 3:30 so I get to sit at work and be edgy all day *sigh* what times are your cmace and lilmismup?
As for books even though its not remotely informative I got hold of a copy of "from here to maternity" (had to get a paper back as not on kindle grrrr) by mel Giedroyc (of mel and sue fame) and it is so utterly funny it had me in absolute stitches so I would really recommend that one!
I don't think I'll sleep well tonight somehow I'm so anxious, especially as I'm going alone as DH can't get out of an open eveningjust hope little Purcy is doing ok in there
hugs to all x0 -
Good luck for tomorrow Purcy. I'm sure everything will be fine!
Cmace and lilmissmup good luck for tomorrow.0 -
Can you ask if I can have sex!!? Say a friend who has an incompentant cervix and ivf cycle wants to know. Odd question I realise, but I really want to know.
And if yes (or no) is it ok to orgasm? I read it was a risk and can cause contractions. Feel free to not ask if it's too cringeworthy.
Ive done a lot of reading on this and everything seems to say its ok unless you have a risky pregnancy or told to be on either a sex ban or complete pelvic rest by a dr.
Because of my mmc before and bleeding in this pregnancy we havent done anything, even though I probably could. What really scared me was reading stories of women having orgasms and it causing cramps for a while afterwards which would scare the carp out of me. So weve basically banned ourselves until 32 weeks as I was terrified of labour starting - which was last Friday but think its now been so long we just forgot and still havent done anything :rotfl:0 -
I didn't know that about the pessaries and three days later! Something else to worry about!0

Sorry WTDN, I looked it up before I tested so I could prepare myself for when I'd be in pain. You've done loads of tests so I'm sure you'll be fine. I only did 2 and both went out of date the following month.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Good luck for everyone having scans tomorrow.
Only just made it to my proper scan today as I didn't realise it was at 9am not 9.30till this morning cue mad rush. Then we got lost in all the bulidings so I walked straight in for my scan. Everything still looked ok baby decided he preffered stretching and crossing its legs today to wriggling so now got a measurement of 12+4. They can't find the line that was on my other scan so thats good news.
So now has come the time for me to move onto the other thread. I can't quite believe it as I have still got on/off bleeding and the amount of blood I've lost is scary but baby seems fine. :j
Good luck to you all in your pregnancy's, will keep a lurker to check how you get on.0
