Stress rash? Go back to buffy.
Doctor says it might be a reaction to vomiting (?) and is probably nothing to worry about but I need to go in at 4.30 and they will check it out just to be on the safe side. And there I was planning to sleep the afternoon away! Almost wish I hadn't called, it is probably nothing and if I hadn't called I could have stayed in bed lol0 -
Daisiegg - (just DeLurking to offer support) When you're at the Drs please do think about telling your dr how anxious you are concerning your pregnancy. They might be able to reassure you.
I was diagnosed as depressed shortly before getting pregnant, which meant the dr was concerned for me, so he fast tracked me onto CBT. It's been great, I couldn't have coped without it. Now I'm not saying you need therapy, but what I am saying is that they should take your worries seriously. Best of luck hun xPlease forgive the badly spelt alias... Thank you....I think I will mention it as it is looking pretty likely that I will end up in tears in there anyway. Trying to get up the courage to leave the house looking like this - I really do look awful with a vivid red rash on my face and I keep looking in the mirror and crying haha!
Oh, silly silly woman. I will not mind one bit if this is all the result of a strong healthy little bean putting loads of hormones into my system. I just wish I knew it was!0 -
Oh daisegg I hope you're feeling better, and have had a talk to the doctor about how stressed out and anxious you are feeling.
I admitted defeat and took today off work, I think my flu jab has made me poorly! I have spent the day watching Death In Paradise on iplayer, I can recommend it as great cheesy TV.0 -
Hi Ladies
I can't actually believe I'm posting this but all is well :j
I've been measured at 12+5 and the cheeky monkey even waved at me on the ultrasound!
Here they are
I guess it's time to move on to the next board.
Thank you so so much for your support ladies both on the ttc for 12 months + board and on this one. I'll be stalking you all like mad!
Biggest hugs and best wishes for the future

Aw congrats Purcy and Cmace
Wow I can not wait for my scan now. I always imagine them as these photos show but it must be amazing to see them moving around and waving.0 -
Well,that was just hideous.
I had to see this absolutely terrible doctor. For a start, I hate seeing him as I teach his daughter - awful to face him at parents' evening and then in a doctors' surgery. Secondly, he is just terrible. Really incompetent and unpleasant.
So, he examined my rash, made lots of noises about how bad it is, and said he has absolutely no idea what it could be. I suggested it was from straining when being sick....but he said it would not be this bad. I mentioned I have had a bit of an upset tummy and he wants a stool sample! Yuk.
There was no way I could talk to him about feeling anxious and upset. I actually got a bit tearful when he was saying he didn't know what the rash was, and he just looked at me for a while and said 'so what is the reason that you are crying?' I said something about feeling very emotional and anxious since being pregnant and he didn't respond - just ignored it.
He prescribed me some cream for my face. I said ' and this is safe in pregnancy?' He said it was. I get it home and read the leaflet...and the leaflet says not to use in pregnancy!!!!
The one thing he did say was I should take a couple of weeks off work. I won't be doing that but I will take tomorrow off. I have my first midwife appointment tomorrow afternoon so I will talk to her more about it then.
I ended up phoning my sister (who is a junior doctor) - I hadn't told her about being pregnant yet but I wanted her advice so I told her. She said don't use the cream, and lots of rashes have no explanation and should settle down quickly. She also said to rest and try not to stress. I feel a lot better for having spoken to her as she really reassured me. Which he did not do! If he had just said 'lots of rashes have no explanation but usually they go away in a few days' it would have made me a feel a lot better than his vague umming and aahhing!
Anyway, I am home now and must try and calm down. Just need to figure out some work to set for my classes tomorrow then I can relax.
Boo! I feel really silly and need to pull myself together.0 -
Congrats on the scans - great news and amazing pictures! X0

Daisiegg, I hope your feeling better and didn't have to wait too long to see the doctor. I agree with what everyone else has said.
Haven't you got a holiday soon? Can you spend some time researching what you would like to see while your there or which foods you want to try. Anything that will put your focus onto something else.0
