I am terrified the mw is going to say the same thing to me
keep worrying about it.
It's the only reason I don't want hubby coming with me as even he doesn't know how much I weigh.
I'm currently getting counselling for my eating disorder ( which is where the gain has come from), guess I will just have to wait and see.

He means well underneath thankfully just a very get up and go kind if guy so thinks I should just get on with things.
God during weeks 6-10 I could barely function for nausea so he might get a shock!!!Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
I know lilmissmup! I'm 7wks on Monday and so far just occasionally been feeling nauseous - just started feeling like that end of last week so will just need to see how things progress.
Doesn't help that his mum keeps saying she felt totally fine..!Baby on board - EDD 29th Sept0 -

You should have sent him to mine when I was vomiting at your stage of pregnancy - he would have soon learnt that being pregnant can indeed make you very ill!
Even my neighbours who I barely talk to but walk past in the road and smile etc, said to me the other day oh you look so much better than you did in the summer- I was like god how ill must I have looked just going out to my car & back -and that was when I was able to leave the house! I think your DH will be in for a shock if you get it like that!0 -

Luckily my husband is being lovely - so far - not sure how long his patience will last. I am nowhere near as ill as you were Claire but feeling pretty rough, and all week at work people have been telling me I look awful. Today my husband said to me 'you look about 40!' (for context, I am 26 ) so that was nice :rotfl:
My sister (junior doctor) really upset me yesterday by saying something like 'you are only 6 weeks pregnant, that is nothing'. I cried and had a huge mood with her! She then apologised and explained that she didn't know about half of the pregnancy symptoms...I had to show them to her in my pregnancy book to prove it is real...she said they get taught all about everything that could go wrong etc, but don't actually tell them what is normal so she didn't know about any of the normal rubbishy symptoms of pregnancy.
No, we are not ill - but our bodies are changing and undergoing a LOT and it is normal to feel pretty awful. Our husbands/partners/friends/families need to accept that!0 -
I am lucky as I am only suffering from really bad fatigue so far and a dull head most days. I think my husband thinks until the baby is physically showing then it does not put any physical strain on us.0

That's terrible they don't teach them & you had to show her a book!
My mum & nan both has bad sickness so my mum was great looking after me when DH was at work.
If you do get ill it won't take your dh long to realise how bad it can be - my old next door neighbour is originally from India and her husband paid for her parents to fly over & live with them and look after his wife whilst he was at work & help take care of their toddler as she was incapable! The poor lady had it worse than me she would have to lie down nearly all day as anytime she pretty much moved she would vomit.
It might not be 'ill' as in you've got a virus/disease but at the end of the day it doesn't really matter what caused it, it's hardly as if throwing up because you're pregnant somehow feels any different! If anything it's worse as it's not like you can think oh I just ate something bad this will be gone tomorrow etc0 -
Early pregnancy is hard and I have to admit it's been a shock to me. Hubby made a joke yesterday about it all being in my head and then funnily enough about an hour later I started puking! He was joking but I think he regretted saying it :rotfl:
It's hard when you are so happy to be preggers but just feel so rubbish it's hard to show much enthusiasm especially when it could go on for weeks!
Hubby has been a little diamond today though, running errands and going to the shops for ice lollys and Ribena!0 -
The lack of sleep is driving me insane

Hi there
Had a positive pregnancy test at home and went to a walk in centre where I had another positive pregnancy test on Wednesday 6th Feb (days overdue at that point) so am thinking must be pregnant but very much in denial as it doesn't seem real! However, I am tried all the time, sore breasts, heightened sense of smell and I've gone off alcohol.
Figured i would add myself as the new girl on the block:
