I feel very lucky that on the whole, my husband has been very supportive of my sickness which bizzarely kicked in from 7 weeks and only seems to happen on a Thursday and Friday!! I haven't been as ill as some, I've mostly spent the last 11 weeks asleep when not at work, or throwing up before/after sleeping!
Our scan is a week tomorrow and I'm really hoping all is okay in there, as I keep telling myself, I have no reason to believe otherwise. Also, I'm a teacher so only one week of work to go and then finally a week off, I've been so exhausted it's been unreal!
I must admit during weeks 7-9 it was difficult for me to be enthusiastic about being pregnant because I just felt rubbish the whole time and still juggled work. Last Friday I felt awful, was sick 5 times before work so finally made the decision to ring in sick and I think that's done me the world of good to have an extra day to relax - so please bare this in mind ladies, you have to luck after yourself and baby!

hi all,
Sorry I've been AWOL. Early symptoms - fatigue and I haven't been bothered doing hardly anything. Think I'm also recovering from the stress of IVF.
Congrats to all the graduates and lovely scan news.
Well, lots of twinges yesterday and today - actually thought AF was going to start but luckily it hasn't. Got a nice dark line on a test this mornso happy at the moment. Going to stop testing now (maybe treat myself to a clearblue at the end of the week).
One week since my BFP! Can't believe it - seems like ages ago!
Only symptoms so far - sore bigger boobs (great as I'm usually an A) twinges, tiredness. That's it really.
Welcome lilmiss!0 -
Hi ladies.
Hoping I can join you please?
A little about me. I discovered yesterday I'm pregnant with number 2 after coming off the pill in January, didn't expect it to happen so fast!
Feeling extremely anxious, never had a miscarriage or problems conceiving but had many medical problems in my first pregnancy which resulted in my daughter being born at 23+4 after I started fitting in the night (was suffering from eclampsia). Daughter had a 6 month stay in hospital and has had heart surgery and numerous problems related to her extremely low birth weight and gestation.
Been told I will be on bed rest from 16 weeks and will see the Consultant weekly. I suffered from quite severe pnd after my last birth so I'm very aware of this also.
Luckily I have a wonderful husband and fab family and I'm trying to take things easy. I suffered awful sickness in my first pregnancy and I've been feeling the same this time round, its harder work this time as I have 2 year old and can't just sleep when I fancy like the first time around!
I'll enjoy getting to know you all and I'm particularly interested in how the ivf ladies get on. My best friend got her positive last weekend after her first round of Ivf so I think I'll tell her to get signed up as well! She's had many miscarriages and we are all so pleased for her and her husband.
Going to read back now and see how everybody else is getting on.0 -
Well ladies who are all feeling ill I am now nearly 13 weeks pregnant and feel pretty much normal again and am now getting excited about baby.
Might be being a bit too honest but I hated being pregnant at first due to how ill I was feeling!!! And after a year of TTC really wondered why I had bothered....
I am over that now though, seeing my baby on scan made me happy. Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Welcome new ladies! Lets all hope for a quiet and uneventful few weeks while we worry on this thread.
Good to see you WTDN, and glad you are getting a nice strong positive now on your tests. I must admit this week has been going so slowly! I'm already wishing my life away, especially until I can get to my 8 week scan.
IVF ladies, are you still taking the progesterone? How long were you advised to keep it up, and is anyone taking estrodil as well. I have been taking it twice a day, but I have run out, and I'm not sure how important it is. I'll call the clinic tomorrow, but just wondering what other people are taking.
I've fallen asleep again on the sofa today. And some minor cramps, and suddenly some associated creamy cm (sorry if TMI!). It's making me nervous... I know it happens at the same time as I can feel the, ahem, liquid just a moment after the cramp. I'm 6 weeks on Wednesday - just hoping everything keeps hanging on in there!!0 -
I can relate to feeling like that lilmissmup, after a weekend with my head down the toilet I really regretted being pregnant and swore never again - yet here I am yet again! I have this vivid memory of being in the bath and my husband was cooking fish for tea and the smell made me vomit!
All sounds normal time2deal, you really do wish your life away when you're pregnant. As for the tmi, there isn't any such thing when your pregnant, no dignity either! A really strange side effect that I notice is my lady bits seem to get much bigger!!Never noticed at the time as it must be a gradual thing, but after birth I really noticed how 'small' every thing felt down below! Oh the joys! Don't get me started on the 'nipples like chocolate digestives that appear!'

Hey t2d, me and peonie both stopped with the pessaries the day after bfp. But I've heard clinics giving it to people right upto 12 weeks so it must depend on hour clinic.
Don't know what estrodil is!
I'm also getting creamy mucus. A long as no red I'm not worrying!
My Oh is being fantastic, which is great because I'm falling asleep on the couch after work. Haven't had to lift a finger since last sun! I don't expect it to last but I'm enjoying it while the goings good! Even taking up knitting - making a stuffed goose. Maybe I can give it my little one if everything goes to plan 😊0 -

Thanks lilmissmup for the positivity!
I've felt rough for weeks, now got rubbish streaming cold - am 11 weeks tomorrow. So Scan is a week tomorrow which I'm very excited about - feel bad moaning about how poorly I've been and felt! Not going to work tomorrow, but hopefully after a day or 2 of rest i'll be fighting fit again aka morning sickness!
