Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! Part 4!!

Finally brave enough to add myself to the list! Have spoken to my counsellor at the Hewitt and she always knows how to calm me down. As someone said on here a few pages back, there's nothing a pregnancy test can tell me now! I'm feeling a little bit more relaxed about it now, just have to trust that my body knows what it's doing and hope that the pregnancy continues. I've wanted this so long now and had constant bad news getting here that I think it's going to take quite some time to feel that things may be ok.

T2d- i asked mw about incompetent cervix and she said that she could not advise as she didn't know your history etc. and recommended that you check with your gynae and ivf drs asap for your own peace of mind. Sorry for the non-answer!
I've been referred as a high risk pregnancy due to my medical history and bmi (it's 30.3). Got the all clear to start sw so off to be humiliated/ weighed tomorrow morning...0 -
Thanks for asking tcd. I think I knew that would be the answer. I'm going to be a little proactive tomorrow and make a few calls to make sure I'm being referred to the high risk unit at Hammersmith relatively soon. I'm 99% certain I need a cerclage operation, preferably around week 11. Just want to make sure I'm not just getting a standard 12 weeks midwife appointment.
Plus I need to stop being such a wimp and book my oncology standard follow up.0 -
My mw was saying that they'll be monitoring me to see if I need a cerclage, can't say it surprised me but it freaks me out a bit! Definitely make the calls, i called my gynae on Thursday and it reassured me a little that they know about me and that i'll be getting the extra monitoring.0

Good Luck T2D, thinking of you.
Well, 7 days until our 12 week scan and I'm off work with a rubbish cold. All snuggled up on the sofa with my duvet, plenty of layers on and paracetomol taken with tissues at the ready!
At least this makes a change from puking!! xx0
