Hi devildolly - thanks for asking.

It's not bad news yet but not good news either. Pregnancy sac seen and "possible" fetal pole but no sign of foetus or heartbeat - all measuring approx 10 days behind my dates. I'm between 6+5 to 7+3 today so we should have seen something but didn't. She thinks I'm around 6 weeks.

Consultant was still fairly optimistic as everything looked right, just early and she suggested I must have my dates wrong but I'm absolutely sure I'm correct as I got our positive test on 6th June.

Also got to carry on with the meds I've been taking / injecting since the positive test.

Have to go back again in 2 weeks for a further scan so please keep everything crossed for us.

    Gelly

Hoping all goes well for you Gelly, and everything is going as planned for everyone else!

I've been at a conference since Sunday night, and the nausea has made it a little difficult! No actual sickness so far but have been strategically sitting with an easy exit! I've made sure I've had ginger biscuits, mints & water with me constantly.

I think I'm going to have to tell more people at work when I get back on Friday; I know I'm going to be put in a position where I will be expected by my colleagues to work somewhere that wouldn't be safe whilst pregnant. Although my managers know & won't expect me to do those things but as I work long shifts there are no managers past 5pm. I'll try keeping it to the minimum but see how long it stays quiet!

Ok - TMI question: I'm really windy - is anyone else? Like could power wind turbine at times windy! It doesn't smell any worse or better than normal, there's just a lot of it.

Also- peppermint and liquorice tea = yack! And normally I like it!

I was like this a few weeks ago rambosmum. I woke OH up a few times in the night with it!!! Seems to have eased off now though.

Grapes are now on my no go list. Fine until today, then ate some and was like no, no, no. Sitting on my desk now mocking me.

Also very emotional at the stupidest things - like the foodbank in Sainsbury's and the antiques roadshow. Whats with that?!?!
  • It's funny how your food likes and dislikes change when pregnant. First time round I couldn't stand raw meat even just walking past it in the supermarket made me heave. This time all I want to eat is bacon and not crispy and brown like I would normally like it but barely cooked with the fat still on it. Last time I also ate lots on marmite couldn't touch it again after little girl was born and so far no cravings this time!

Fingers crossed for any one with scans x

I'm 7+3, can't eat any fruit or veg :( or really anything sweet.... so basically just eating carbs and ginger biscuits. I feel bad because this is the time when I'm supposed to be eating healthily and I'm usually so good about food :(

Well my diet mostly consists of cheese on toast, cheese on crumpets, just blocks of cheese and crisps. i can manage pizza, but veg are a no no. It just depends how I feel, most foods still make me feel nauseous. If i am feeling OK, i just eat what I can!

DH has to feed the dogs, as I cant even be in the same room as their canned food.

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
