  • Fingers crossed for tomorrow Gelly, I hope you have good news. Devil, I think sanding etc should be ok. I lifted something heavy last week and have worried since but all research says that shouldnt cause a mc. Hope you get a scan soon. I have my scan next monday, very nervous!

They say exercise is good in pregnancy so I'm sure you'll be fine devildolly.

They've also really relaxed the rules on heavy lifting too - they used to say don't do it. Now they just tell you lift with your knees. I think you're just more likely to pull something because of that hormone which relaxes your muscles.

I'm a bit achy today from the accident but feel fine. Really trying not to worry. 10 sleeps until my scan.
  • Hi All

Sorry to hear some of the sad news from other members it can be a very difficult time.

I had my scan details through over the weekend, 20th July, so looking forward to that am glad it arrived before we went on holiday at least now I don't have to worry about it being when we are away. The sickness seems to have stopped, think I'm 9 weeks today, which is good, now just the constant peeing has began. Saturday was a nightmare literally needed to go every five minutes but hoping this is just a phase as well - had none of this with my first. I'm convinced now that I'm going to have a boy as didn't get any of this when pregnant with my little girl.

    Take Care All x

I had constant peeing from weeks 4 to 7 and it seems to have died down a little since then, though I also think I'm not drinking as much and I still can't do the 2 hour car journey to OHs parents without needing to stop for the loo!

Oh, and I jumped on the scales this morning (habit rather than watching my weight) and I've lost 5lbs since finding out I was pregnant! I think it's because the nausea has had a real effect on my appetite and I'm not eating as much as I was volume wise. And no where near as much snacking on rubbish. Means my BMI is down from 26.7 to 25.9 - almost healthy, which I'm pleased about. Obviously not trying to lose weight though - want half thumb to get all the nutrients he needs.

Thanks for all the good wishes. I've had no more bleeding since and scan today was ace. Saw baby wriggling loads and got all required measurements. Dated me at 14 weeks, EDD 28/12 so I'll be moving on. I'll update the list tomorrow when I'm on my pc (not phone).

I hope you all have scans that put your mind at rest soon, and see you on the next thread! x

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
