Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! Part 4!!

Where I am, you ring the midwife's part of the medical practice and book an appt in based on your dates. They like to see you between 7 and 8 weeks and which midwife you're allocated to depends on who your GP is.
Your midwife then contacts the hospital to book your scan and from memory you get a letter with the date/time in the post. I did have to change one of my scans last time and didn't have any difficulty doing so; just rang up the number on the letter and they changed it. Our scan department definitely doesn't work weekends though! How wonderful if they did! I had to go to three scans last time on my own as OH couldn't get the time off work (I had some extra scans later on as was put under a consultant.)
It is quite bizarre how varied things are depending solely on where you live!
My first had a mix of second hand and new things, but if all goes well with this pregnancy there is very little I will be buying - really the only thing I would buy will be clothes if this baby is a blue one... and that only after 3 months as all the 0-3 I bought previously were neutral.0 -
Had a call from the doctor earlier but missed it. They are calling me back in the morning. I'm sure it's just my thyroid or I'm anaemic, e.g nothing to worry about. But I can't help worry!0

Hi all, how are you doing?
Rambosmum - did you manage to get back in touch with your doctor to find out why they called?
It's so frustrating how different areas run different procedures for antenatal services - just wish it was one service run the same way for everybody (and an efficient one at that).
I'm approx 6 - 6+3 today and terribly nervous. No spotting so that's good but no symptoms either although I do get a bit of a "pinching feeling" down low so wonder if that could be it.
Have come back from holiday last week with a stinking cold - just had a sneezing fit at my desk, must have sneezed 25 times!
I'm still taking all the meds but my belly is black and blue with bruises from the clexane injections - have seen my GP who sent me for blood clotting tests and results have confirmed it's normal. I did however have a call from my GP last night - I had a number of blood tests a few weeks ago before I found out I was pregnant again. They were tests I'd read about online and suggested I should have been offered them already but I hadn't.
Apparently I've tested positive for lupus! Everything I've read suggests that's a strong possibility for the recurrent miscarriages. The treatment seems to be the same as what I'm on now so I'll carry on as I'm doing for now.
Left a message with my consultant's secretary earlier today so hopefully she'll get the message but I'm due to see her next Tuesday, ironically for a recurrent miscarriage appt but it will now be an antenatal appt. Really hoping we get to have a scan and find out what's going on in there.
Keeping absolutely everything crossed for all of us.

OMG i have just been dragged round multiple museums by my 4 year old today and I am shattered. Definitely still feel pregnant! Need to go cook dinner, but just cant lift myself off the sofa.
Rambosmu , did the doc get back to you?
8 days til booking in appointment. If my 12 week scan says all ok, then I will have to tell the school straight away, as otherwise I will be expected to complete a 9 mile whole school walk. Not a chance!! Energy levels struggle with even an hour of meandering round town!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Sounds like you've had a really tough time with it. Really hope it works out this time for you Gelly.
Can't believe the scan is nearly upon us. 3 pm tomorrow. Feels like such a long wait since the booking appointment. Won't really feel real til we see it. Can't imagine what it'll be like when we do.
I'm sure it's ok though, she's complaining of clothes getting tighter, swear she's starting to show a bit and got a very clear linea negra. Just had very mild symptoms up to now apart from tiredness.
So excited yet terrified. Haven't told anyone outside of NHS (and MSE) about it. Hope we've got some fantastic news tomorrow evening.
Still no Ofsted call so luckily she doesn't have to worry about that tomorrow on top of the scanMortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

If Ofsted don't turn up this term, wont it be the new light and efficient version next year?
Still no Ofsted for us either. 6 years!!!
Ofsted are just rubbish though. Two local schools got inspected within a couple of weeks of each other. One got outstanding for their 6th form, whilst the other school got good. Quite amusing, given they have the same shared 6th form, same pupils, same teachers... It just depends on the mood of your inspector on the day.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

I had a dream last night that we arrived for the scan today but I'd forgotten to bring her notes.
When we went for the scan we were taken into a bright white room, which just had what looked like a large photo booth. She was ushered inside by a man in a white lab coat who then promptly disappeared. Then the scan happened but we didn't get to see any kind of screen or anything. The photo booth, instead of printing a picture, just chucked out the results of the scan on a piece of paper with a long numerical code.
So all we had was a bunch of numbers with no explanation and no one to ask what they meant. We had to book the 16 week appointment and wouldn't find out til then if we had a baby or not!

Scary the dreams you have when expecting a little one! I hope it all goes well ianri.
Dr did get back to me - white blood cells in my urine, likely a urine infection so had to take another sample in today to test again.
2 weeks tomorrow until my scan. Can't wait.
The exhaustion has ramped up again. I'm getting used to the nausea but I feel like I could sleep constantly. The boobs have had another spurt too, but I've not yet gone up a cup size (here's hoping- I'm pretty flat cheated pre pregnancy). My sister went up from an A cup to an E and has stayed at a D, that would be nice, but knowing me I'll take after mum B up to C down to a saggy B0 -

Thank you. First time in absolutely ages that I've actually had a dream that's related to something going on in real life. They're usually just completely random with no relevance to the present.
We didn't hear anything about the blood test so assume everything tine.
She was really worried about the blood test. Was really nervous through the whole booking appointment because she knew that was coming at the end. I had to answer a lot of the questions because she'd just forgotten about everything else!
Shame it couldn't have been gotten over with first, she was perfectly fine when it was taken. Just the thought of it.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Hi all, hope I'm in the right place! DH & I got our BFP on Monday. A little shocked as we had only just started trying, and as I have endometriosis (had 2nd laparoscopic excision surgery in February so we could start TTC) we thought it would take longer. This will be our first child, my first ever pregnancy.
So working out my dates from my LMP I'm 4 weeks + 1 day. Using some online due date predictors I'm due around 1st March.
I really want to be excited, but I'm so scared at the same time as it's so early. I have to tell work as soon as (I'm back in tomorrow) as I'm a radiographer & work with radiation, so some of my role will need to be altered slightly. I'm hoping I can just tell the bosses though, I should be able to pass it off to other colleagues as a shoulder problem as the cause of not doing certain things. As a result, we told my parents & brother yesterday. All a little shocked but very pleased (this will be first grandchild). Just all being very cautious at the mo!MFW 2016 #32 £1574.66/£1500:j:j0
