I've bought a pair of maternity jeans from Ebay. I won't be buying anything else until after the 20 week scan, just in case (other than clothes for me).

Just supplements + folic acid so far.

I've already been looking up car seats and we've talked about ideas for bedroom/nursery. But managing to hold off.

I can't stand the waiting! If I have bad news at next scan I can cope. I'll be sad of course but will be ok. It's the what ifs that I find so hard.

I've had brown spotting for nearly two weeks now so I'm not overly confident. Just want answers!

Hope all is alright for you. But know how you feel. These last few days before the scan are lasting forever.

OH is trying her best not to think about it and avoiding anything baby related as she's so worried about the scan.

Hi guys, I have thought I would pop in, I had a mmc in march with baby 2 @8weeks although baby stopped developing from about 6, im pregnant again, 7+6 today. I have had 2 early scans and all looking ok so far, fingers crossed. I havent been to see my gp yet to get referred to maternity But im going on tuesday. I have been a nervous wreck and taking this a day at time, its such a rollercoaster! Maire, hope bleeding is down to implantation and things work out ok.x

Fingers crossed for you Marie1, some people do just bleed throughout the first trimester.

Welcome minimuffin, sorry for your previous loss, I hope this pregnancy goes well for you.

We told OHs parents today, they were really pleased but also very realistic that it's early days. Pleased we told them.

I'm 9+5 today and scan is 2 weeks Thursday, seems like forever away.

Thanks rambosmum. Thats lovely that you told oh parents, we told my in laws and my mum quite early in all my pregnancies and I was glad of the support. Hope the next 2 weeks fly in for you, ive found that time seems to stand still in early pregnancy!

Updated list - my 12 week/dating scan appointment arrived at the weekend


The midwife said if we were having the nuchal translucency bit of the scan it would have to be done after 11+4 but if not, then it could be any time. We declined the nuchal bit - my brother has Down's and whatever the risk factor was, it wouldn't make any difference to what we'd do for the rest of the pregnancy.

Anyway, the scan is on Sunday at 2.50pm - excellent that we don't have to wait very long but also typical - it's Glastonbury this weekend and I work down there stewarding in Pilton village. I've fiddled my shifts around though so I can still make the scan


I'm keeping all my fingers crossed for you marie1 and welcome to minimuffin as well xx
