Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! Part 4!!

I'm in a similar situation to you snowball, my office is a small team of 7 people. My boss knows for the same reasons (appointments, etc) and two others know (my best friend happens to work in my office and one of the other girls went through IVF 7 times back in the 90s so she's helped me along the way).


The trips to the loo and constant grazing are obviously starting to become noticeable though because another lady in my office guessed yesterday and asked me (in a very lovely way though)!

That's the other thing I suppose, I was really tired and unwell for a few weeks early on, so it was nice not having to put too much of a face on Plus my eating habits changed to keep queasiness at bay, which I would have felt self conscious about if it was a secret.

I'd been relatively vocal about wanting children anyway so they were all expecting it

Aaah ladies, it's lovely to hear your good news re scans and sharing it with work.

I'm not planning on saying anything until after I'm back from my holibobs - go on Thursday for a week then straight down to Dorset for a wedding and then back to work on Tuesday 23rd June.

Have just got back from the hospital to collect my meds - am going to have to inject myself daily - eeeek. :shocked: Just done the first one with a midwife and I was so scared but it really wasn't that bad. The thought of it was worse that actually doing it. Have been put on:

Low dose aspirin
Progesterone pessaries
Prednisolone (steroids)
Clexane injections - eeeeek!!!

Need to pop to the GP surgery later for a sharps box and to ask what I do about taking needles on a flight - do I need a letter, etc?

Woo 12 weeks finally!

Was sick last night and felt horrendous. Really can't wait for next Wednesday to see little bean again, and fingers crossed they are growing well and good :cool:

I am so jealous of people who just get tiredness in pregnancy :rotfl: Few people from work are like this. And then there is me feeling horrendous and putting a brave face on I know baby will be worth it, but it does get me down.

OHs grans funeral today very sad day. I was fortunate that my body has behaved itself and I've barely felt sick or tired all day (from weeks of exhaustion and nausea!).

OH wants to go back to see family in 2 weeks and tell them the news. I'm just so worried that something will happen at the 12 week scan and so don't really want to tell them anything. I'm a really private person and would hate them to know if I lost it- I don't really do 'support' (though I am very supportive of others) I prefer to deal by myself, always have. I didn't tell anyone but my OH and best mate about my miscarriage until years afterwards.

So far we've told best mates (3 people) and my boss, because of appointments etc. We've agreed to tell OHs parents and sister in 2 weeks and mine after the 12 weeks scan. We'll tell others after the 20 week scan, or when they notice/ ask.

I am 4 weeks and 4 days, edd 14th feb.



I have a lovely daughter, 20 months old. Before I had her, I had two early mcs so I'm worrying all day every day at the moment!

I'm diabetic (type 1) so I've had to have preconception care to ensure sugar levels are safe etc. the diabetes team have requested that I have an early scan between 7 and 9 weeks so I'm hoping all goes well.

Hi all,

Had booking scan today which measured at 11+2. Was big enough to get screening tests etc done. All looking good and revised due date of 29.12.15.

Got lots of really good photos too so off to look at the 'nub theory' to see if I can decipher anything!

AFM today is 8 + 3and last night I had a terrifying pregnancy related dream. I dreamed that they changed the time of my scan an OH couldn't go with me and when I got there they told me they could see my bladder and pelvis but no baby I woke up in a sweat, it seemed so real, I was so upset! I just hope it doesn't turn out to be true. I don't think it helps that my nausea has reduced this week, though my boobs have grown again. 4 weeks yesterday until I find out.

Oh no rambosmum, what a horrible dream. I am sure all is fine but it is so hard not to worry.

Also had reduced symptoms in the last day or so. My slight icky feeling has gone, so of course I think the worst has happened. Still not heard from midwife or anyone yet. I was 9+3 when I go the call last time so dont expect anything for another week at least. Not sure I can wait that long. I am seriously considering booking a private scan now even though I really didn't want to this time. Will chat to OH later today to see what he thinks. I guess I just want to enjoy this for as long as possible in case all is not OK.
