  • Welcome to all the new joiners and congrats on the good scans for those who have had them

I'm 12 weeks on Tuesday, so looking forward to that. I had a bad day yesterday, as soon as I got in from work I had to go to bed, and slept until the next morning, minus toilet trips. Today has been better and actually watched some episodes of corrie with my hub tonight  Normally I am too tired/nauseous.

Nausea still constant and worse in evenings. Looking forward to this easing but not sure when it will. Think it was around 16 weeks with my son.

I am sure I'm getting a bump already, but probably just bloat :rotfl: I know I will show earlier this second time, especially if I have another large baby.

Hope everyone else is ok :)

    Hi all,

Congratulations to all those who got BFP's recently!

I'm having a bit of a downer, was on a total high after private scan and seeing heartbeat etc, but have been messed about a bit by my local midwives and now they are saying I have to go to my 12-week scan on a certain date which would mean going on my own (as they can't give me a date when OH is home and/or parents).

Can they make me do this? It's not something I feel particularly comfortable with, but I guess if they don't have any spaces then they don't have any spaces?

I am also having those horrid doubts that something has gone wrong and I just don't know it yet - this first trimester is a worry that's for sure!

Try not to worry. I am sure all is fine. I guess they are just really busy with scans, so can only offer the odd space. I will probably have to go to mine on my own too, not that i have a date yet...!

I feel so nauseous it is quite depressing. I Know it is a positive sign, but i constantly feel the urge to vomit, so I just cant do anything other than sit here feeling dreadful.

I have a huge pile of marking and reports to write, but just can't do them. I will be 7 weeks on Monday. When is the nausea likely to stop, as I cant go on like this? I wm wondering if I ssctually ouke whether I would feel better? The nausea starts around 4am and lasts until I go to bed.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I put my foot quite firmly down today and said I wasn't prepared to go on my own due to their mix up at my original appointment, so they're getting in touch to get an earlier one. Job done!

I am hoping everything is ok but unlike you I haven't really felt unwell at all and in fact today felt quite well! According to my private scan I am 10+2. I keep thinking about the link you posted with the percentages of risk which is keeping me positive.

I hope you feel better soon - does sucking on a polo mint help? I always find mint settles my stomach. Or being nice and cool - get the windows open! :rotfl:

I'm constantly feeling bleurgh. I don't feel like I'm going to throw up but I do feel sick - that washing machine, bloated/ empty feeling you get when your coming down with a sickness bug. It also last all day and about 3 I absolutely die and feel like I need a nap, I then get home from work and have a sleep before dinner and then an early night.

OH is getting a bit 'frisky'- I'm just not up to it, I feel so horrid and bloated and unsexy, we haven't DTD since I conceived :(

Hi all, can I very cautiously dip my feet in again. We got our fourth BFP this morning but having lost all 5 of them so far, we're feeling extremely nervous (first pregnancy was natural triplets, followed by two singles).

Have been in touch with the EPU already today (at Consultants request) and they will have the medication I'm going to be on this time, ready for me to collect on Tuesday. Am going to be on aspirin, progesterone and steroids this time so really keeping everything crossed.

Have had a couple of things happen this week that made me think I might be pregnant again - my temperature rocketed a couple of days ago plus we were having a late dinner out on Thursday after shopping and I had a random dizzy spell despite being sat down for over 30 mins.

Lovely to join you all and hope to be able to progress to the next thread this time.
    Love Gelly

    Hi

I have just found out I am about 4 weeks pregnant. I'm still shocked. I'm a natural worrier at the best of times but I'm so scared because its so early. I have a funny feeling in my tummy, a bit like butterflies, no bleeding or any bad pain. I have spoke to a Doctor who did help me in one respect, told me everything is just moving about but he didn't help with saying how early it is. I already know that. My hormones are all over the place, I'm an emotional wreck. Sorry for just ranting.

I've stopped all my pain medications and stopped smoking. I'm very stressed but trying to not be. I'm not with the Dad but I'd love us to get back together. If we did it would just be perfect.

*Not looking medical advice in case you think I'm breaking the rules*
  • That's how I am pink shoes. Constant nausea 24/7, that gets worse as the day goes on.
I have found work to be a distraction, but it is hard in the afternoon. The fatigue/exhaustion is hard to take too. My poor hub has been doing all household chores, I've just done dinner and taken our son to nursery in the morning.

I long for the nausea to go but then I'd probably worry something was wrong.

12 weeks on Tuesday but I'll stick around until NHS scan when I am over 13 weeks.

Welcome the all new joiners, and congrats on BFPS!

Morning all. Welcome to all the newbies. Gelly, great to see you hear again. We were on this board at roughly the same time in late 2013 and late 2014. Here's hoping we both make it through this time.

Sorry to hear that a few of you are really suffering with MS.

Good for you hieveryone for getting a scan date you can hopefully both go to.

Still heard nothing re booking in appt............
  • Hello to all the new people and a special  to gelly, I hope your stay on here is sticky xxx

AFM - I've rung up and spoken to the midwives for a booking in appointment - Tuesday 16th at 9am - and they seemed a bit surprised that I'd waited til I was 8+1 to book in :o The fertility clinic told me to get started with it but there's still a bit of my brain saying "it's too soon!". Had another little bit of blood last night as well but all the nurses/midwives seem to say not to worry unless it gets heavier or is crampy as well. Of course not worrying is much easier said than done!

    Hugs to you all xxx
