Miss_I I hope your bleeding has stopped today. I bet it was a great feeling hearing the heartbeat x
Chickpea Congrats and welcome to the thread
Daisiegg I have not tested now for a few weeks. I got my BFP with 2 first response tests but I did not quite believe them. I the got a CB digi showing 1-2 weeks which was a huge confirmation! After that I bought three cheapie tests and the lines where not as dark as with first response but I put that down to the fact they probably was not as sensitive. I am going to get a CB digi again just to see the 3+ weeks
Bluebell I hope all is week Monday, I will be thinking of you x0 -
Congrats Chickpea
Miss I - Hope your feeling ok today and the bleeding has stopped.
Bluebell - Have a nice relaxing day at work today and good luck on Monday.
Daisegg - I cant help you on the stomach pains, I haven't had any nausea yet.
I phoned the county midwife office yesterday to register the pregnancy, was told that my local midwife will phone me today :-)
I'm currently on annual leave from work which is nice as the tiredness has set in. I went to bed the other night at 745 and slept till my alarm at 5am.0 -
Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. It means an awful lot.
Feeling a bit weary today, to be honest, but other than that I feel absolutely fine. The bleeding slowed down shortly after my post last night and seems to have stopped now - (TMI alert) well, there's no 'fresh' blood when I wipe, just brown, but either way a massive improvement from yesterday. I've taken today off work to take it easy, just to be safe given that the two jobs I have (teaching assistant and childcare practitioner) aren't exactly the most restful jobs - so if something *touches wood* should happen, at least I'll know I have done best for baby and myself. So far I fell back to sleep after ringing my bosses and had a lovely lie in, now to watch some TV and take it easy on the sofa. Trying to be cautiously optimistic and not worry too much, as worrying is no good for anyone.
And welcome to the thread, Chickpea! Huge congratulations. :T

glad you are feeling better Miss I. Must have been so scary for you! You take it easy!
Congrats Chickpea!
Daisie - my wind is embarrassing! I feel like a dirty old man with it lol! But it just cant be helped! No food triggers, just pretty constant for me! Dont get me started on the constipation :rotfl:
I really cant believe how different things are in Northern Ireland. Our booking appointments is the 12 week scan - they do all the previous medical & family history, bloods, blood pressure, height, weight & the scan itself. I didnt see the MW before & the next appointment is at 16 weeks for more bloods! Guess it works for them here!
I have a funeral tomorrow. No trousers fit me at the minute & its too late to buy new ones & have them taken up (joys of being 5ft 7 27 inch legs!!) So i bought a few stretchy dresses to try on tonight. Even bought a maternity one from New Look!0 -
Daisiegg I can't believe you've done 15 tests haha! I have awful wind too really painful at times! Not feeling sick yet lol!0

Thanks for the welcomes and congrats!0

I had another reassurance scan today, and it is looking much more like a baby in there! i could definitely make out little legs, and we had to wait for the baby to stop rolling around for the measurements to be taken- very exciting. I am measuring 9+4 today, so I seemed to have gained 2 days from my last scan.
That's it now for three weeks until my 12 week scan. I am still quite apprehensive, but it is starting to look like this might actually happen for us!
Congrats and welcome to chickpea!

I don't have any constipation yet....quite the oppositebut the wind is just horrid, it is really painful and keeps me awake at night
I don't know if it is ok to take anything like deflatine or indigestion tablets or not.

I had stocked up on absolutely loads because I expected it to take ages for us to conceive so we'd need a few a month for up to a year or something...then I was hugely lucky enough to fall pregnant the second month of trying (and yes I do realise how lucky we are. I feel guilty!) so I have just been using them all! I think also I can't quite believe it is real so I have to keep checking to reassure myself.0 -

Oh that is amazing! I can completely understand why you would be apprehensive but it all sounds very encouraging so far. I can't wait for a scan...having a private early one where I will be either 8+2 or 7+5 ish (depending if we go by LMP or when I think I probably ovulated) and I am fully prepared to not be able to see much, but I hope they can find something in there!0 -
I paid for a private scan where I measured 6+1, just a little blob really with a blurry bit which was the heartbeat. I thought I was 7 1/2 weeks at that point, and i had had pain and bleeding, and have a history of MC, but otherwise I think it was a bit too early really for a scan. There wasn't much to see, but it was amazing to hear for the first time 'everything's fine'.
My second one was 2 weeks ago, I measured about 7 1/2 weeks and could see more of a baby shape, and again the heartbeat, but not much else was going on. That was an NHS scan, but I had had more bleeding.
Today's was offered to me after the last one for reassurance, I hadn't had any pain. I have to say, it was quite amazing seeing it rolling around. Unless I have any problems, I have been discharged from the EPU. I am really looking forward to my 12 week scan now, to see the changes from today.
How much is your private scan costing? Mine was £60 and I will also get a 10% discount off any further scans I have there this pregnancy.0
