    Lol!

Just buy the ones from home health they only cost around 10p.

But yes you are crazy to want to be sick woman! :) it's really not nice at all! I've never felt so rough in my entire life.

Plus I had about 6 weeks off work - so depending on your works policy at work it might not work out too well cost wise anyway! I was basically trapped on the sofa, bed or loo for 4 weeks I only went outside to sit in the garden - one good thing about it being the summer at the time (the 34c heat did not help!)

Just seeing the jug I used to be sick in gives me the shudders - it's certainly not allowed in the kitchen now ha ha!

No, I know, I don't really mean it. As for time off work, I earn pin money really and won't be going back after having a baby so it wouldn't be the end of the world to spend 6 weeks on the sofa! :o However spending 6 weeks feeling awful does NOT sound appealing. I don't really mean that I want it. Poor you, you must be so relieved that is over!

I am! Although I still get nauseous if I don't eat anything for a while but it's nothing compared to that! It did make me feel reassured at the time, just so so awful! Those 6 weeks were just the worst ones, I had another 9 after that I just managed to go back to work as could actually keep a few bits down and ran to the loo all day!

Yeah I'm the same - I had to change jobs to work part time because being pregnant makes me so ill. And I hated my last job!

So yeah just buy some 10p tests and stick to that lol!
  • Oh, what an evening. Still reeling from it all really.

I started bleeding quite heavily a couple of hours ago, including a couple of clots, but I was suffering no pain (other than the usual pregnancy twinges). Very frightened, I called the number I had from the EPAC clinic which was given to me with my last bleed. At this time of night, it was closed, but I got put through to the gynae ward. After a quick discussion explaining my symptoms, they told me to come in to get checked out.

Headed up to the hospital and I cannot fault the treatment I received. In and out within an hour. I had my blood pressure and temperature taken by a nurse, and the consultant/his team came in to see me (and hubby). Discussed my history with the consultant and what was happening right now in terms of bleeding/pain, and he did a scan. After a nervous minute or so, he flicked a switch and we heard a very strong heart-beat and saw one very happy baby. Hearing that heartbeat was the best feeling in the world! He says baby is 9+4, but that's not a definite due to my empty bladder so the scan wasn't as clear as it could be. His priority is that baby is well and there's a strong heart-beat - which there was - he said baby was clearly quite happy as he/she was wriggling, which he showed us. :)

Doctor thinks the bleeding might just be one of those things, or theorised that I might be one of those one in five women who have bleeds throughout their (otherwise) perfectly healthy pregnancy. They consider it fairly light bleeding (given that I've barely filled a pad, TMI, sorry!) but has said if I have any concerns or I am worried, then to give the gynae ward a call and I can go straight in.

Needless to say, still feeling very apprehensive and waiting to see what tomorrow brings (hopefully the bleeding will have stopped).

Oh gosh, Miss I!!! I can't imagine how you feel - how scary! You must have been so relieved to hear that heartbeat but of course you still feel worried. Fingers crossed and sending hugs....hopefully it will turn out to have been nothing sinister. Hope you can get some rest tonight, thinking of you xx
  • Miss I I hope the bleeding stops for you today!

Yay! :D you must be over the moon :)

Thanks for asking, I am fine, it is one week today since we got our BFP! In that time I have done about 15 tests (including one this morning, very dark line, thank you very much) and I know I am slightly addicted and must stop! I have 2 more 'real' ones left (but about 30 cheapie internet ones!) and I swore I would not buy anymore, except last night I ordered another 2 CB digi ones.....I just want to see the number move up to 3+ (it moved to 2-3 on Tuesday this week :) ) then I will stop I swear! Little tip...do not turn into a crazy POAS addicted lady like me.

I was up in the night again feeling rough, woke at 3am feeling really nauseous and gagging, but not actually being sick. Does anyone else get bad tummy pain with the nausea? I don't mean lower period style cramps (which I had for a couple of weeks but seem to have gone now) but stomach pain high up right in the middle of your ribs almost? It is most unpleasant. Oh, also... I have never in my life had as much wind as I do at the moment :o it is almost a good thing hubby is away as he is in for a shock when he gets back...it is painful and I know I won't be able to hold it in around him! Eek! :o

    I feel so glamorous

Hi ladies, had my booking in appointment with the midwife yesterday who has dated me at 9+3 but i think i'm only 8 weeks today, guess i'll find out at the 12 week scan. I am classed as high risk and will be consultant lead due to this being my 5th (and final lol) c-section. I had a slight bleed last week, (brown and only when wiping) but midwife isnt worried about that.

Has anyone else who has had children before found that they are either bloated or starting to show already? Over the past week my tummy has definately bumped out and doesnt appear to be disappearing. I remember with my last pregnancy 6 years ago that I got big very early on and each pregnancy i seem to get big quicker..... didnt want to tell anyone until we hit 12 weeks but may have to lol. Other than that I am feeling sick all the time and so so tired, cant wait for this stage to pass so I can start enjoying it :)

Teabag, I am on number 2 and yes feeling much bigger already!

I'm having a scan on Monday (hopefully 8+2 then) so going to have to be patient all weekend! Not had any more bleeding though, and had a better nights sleep last night. Going into work today but am going to try and take it easy, and DH is giving me a lift instead of walking. After a day on the sofa yesterday I'm too bored to stay home any more!

Hugs MrsI, that must have been really scary. Glad everything is OK x
