Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! Part 4!!

Hi all, I'd tentatively like to join you! I say tentatively because like many of you I'm on tenterhooks about it all going ok!
5 and a bit weeks. Had one mc, so the nice doctor has put me on progesterone, which I call my Star Trek pills, because they have to boldly go where no-one has gone before!
Symptoms - if I was looking, I'd say cravings from the first week or two! After I had the BFP I remembered that I'd been on a chicken-fest! Now can't get enough fruit, also sometimes I want chocolate so bad I've been clawing my handbag while waiting in the till! Read that it can mean you're low on magnesium so have been having lots of spinach and the chocolate cravings have definitely gone down! Hungry as soon as I wake up - just hungry a lot of the time!
Have told my closest friend, she's not really one to check up on you and stuff but it's a girly ear if I need it. Also had to tell the boss at work.
Nearing 40 and BMI of around 50 I think, but asked the doctor about extra folic acid and she said no need. It's daft how different the procedures are around the country! I had to make an appointment to let the doctor know, she referred me for the 12 week scan, and I had to fill out forms at reception for the midwife, who will contact me at some point.0 -
Welcome and congratulations Ding Dong and Fuzzy!
I thought my feeling sick had gone down a bit but felt quite sick this morning.
On a countdown now for my scan, 9 days to go...0 -
Welcome to the club Fuzzy and DingDong! So nice to hear about more BFPs.
I find it so bizarre that the midwife contacts you. All you have to do here is ring up the doctors' surgery and they make the appointment for you there and then. No need to see a doctor first either.
11 weeks today and sickness appears to be getting better, gradually. I do get the odd times (mostly when I need to be getting on with something while DS sleeps) that I feel awful! Not really been feeling as tired as I did when I was pregnant last time, but that's maybe because I don't have time to feel tired with a 14 month old running around.
I'm on a countdown too Wendz, 10 days for me. Luckily it's an early appointment at 9.30, so I won't have to try and find a way to make the time go quicker!
Hope everyone has a lovely day. It's freezy brr here! xDS born 30.08.13 :happyhear

Hi everyone, It‘ good to see some new peoplel coming to the thread, I‘m still lurking on the TTC thread so hopefully some more to come soon. It seems that my morning sickness got over it‘s jetlag somehow and after 2 weeks of feeling fine has come back again ( I can only assume with the time difference I was filling nauseous in the middle of the night and slept through it !!) but as we are coming home today hopefully it‘ll get confused again and go away for a couple of weeks. I have my 12 week scan on Thursday which is a bit late as I‘ll be 13.5 weeks and I‘m nervous and excited about it at the same time ! Hope everyone is feeling OK.0

Congratulations and welcome Ding dong and Fuzzy.
I am on countdown to 22nd when I have my private scan. Until then I am trying so hard not to get myself too excited/ used to the fact I'm pregnant as I am really worried that it's not going to go to plan. I'm sure this worrying is normal, but it would just be nice to know that there is a heartbeat there.
Hope you ladies are all well and that the morning sickness isn't too bad.x0 -
Thanks for the welcome (apologies for dodgy writing sometimes - my keyboard is a bit temperamental!). ThinkPink I'm absolutely there with you with the worry. Its all consuming. Really trying to tell myself that there is no point in worrying. Being relaxed is good for the pea. (Last week it was called Sesame.)
Really want to have an early scan, just so I know it got further than the last one. But I rationalised last night that I'd prefer not to know if somethings gone wrong, rather than knowing and just having to wait for nature to take its course.
Started to get a belly ache an hour after each meal - no sickness but I've never been easily sick, so might be ok!
How many mobile apps have you all got?I've restricted myself to 3!

I have no apps- which ones have you got?/ recommend?
For me I would rather know sooner that later if.everything wasn't all as it should be. I know that things could change between 9 weeks and 12 weeks but it would just.reassure me a,little bit.0 -
I like the "I'm expecting" one by MedHelp - free all the way through, doesn't nag you to register either. Doesn't work too well if not connected to the internet though.
"Pregnancy" by Health & Parenting Ltd. is great for pictures, appointments etc., I've got the lite version which is free but only lasts for 12 weeks. The last one is BabyBump by Alt12Apps - don't tend to use it because the ads are a little annoying, but I do like the pics of your body as well as the baby.
Overall, I'd recommend the "Pregnancy" one.0 -
Ring to be - mines at 12 so will be worrying all morning. Have booked the whole day off though as will hopefully do a bit of christmas shopping after if all is ok.
I haven't really looked at any apps or my book or anything this time. I think I am living in blissful ignorance at the moment.0 -
