Regarding the belly its a nightmare, at 8 weeks I was maternity trousers. I too had the thought that I could be having twins or had I got my dates wrong. Scannlast week confirmed just one baby phew! I am 13 weeks and have put 6cm on around my belly.

Thank God it's not just me! I've had my scan date through now, so fingers crossed it flies by and I'll know for sure then. My "all day nausea" now seems to be subsiding slightly, though it does rear it's ugly head about 9pm and during the night. Better to sleep it off than be awake and suffer, it was becoming a chore.

Had a physio appointment yesterday too relating to matters arising from my previous birth, and she wants to monitor me through pregnancy now too! All these appointments will drive me mad :wall:

Kira, so sorry to hear your news. Life can be a right cow when she wants to be, hugs coming your way xx

What symptoms have people had and when did they start?

Im 6+3 today and have been feeling feeling tired and lightheaded and headachey but thats it, plus I feel a bit bloated. I don't want morning sickness but I don't feel that different at the moment- is this normal? I think I'm just feeling so paranoid- I have wanted this for such a long time that I'm so scared something will go wrong.

I've booked in for an early scan, its 22nd Nov so I would be 9 weeks.

    Hope you are all well.x

Hey everyone, going to add myself back on the list, as I seem to have got deleted along the way! had midwife appt today and am about 9 and a half weeks now :) getting quite bad morning sickness though, feel sick all the time and generally vomiting about 3 times every other day :( just waiting to hear about my 12wk scan date and then can start telling people (although quite a few people are guessing at the moment due to the vomiting!) xx

I have been feeling sick first thing since around bfp time. Also had some sickness later in the day but this has faded a bit now. I had dizziness to begin but generally feel ok ish most the time. I am sure you are OK ThinkPink, some people are lucky and don't get many symptoms.

Hope you feel better soon Hippi and the midwife went well.

Fatigue, dizziness and headaches tend to go hand in hand with early pregnancy, and bloating is quite common too - all normal! With baby number 1, I didn't experience anything different until about 8.5 weeks, and some women don't experience it until later, or even at all.

Nobody wants morning sickness, it's horrible, so please don't wish yourself to have it, although for some women I suppose it makes the pregnancy more of a reality! If you can get away without it, I envy you!

My advice is to not overthink it, because you will drive yourself crazy the whole pregnancy. I hope your scan gives you some reassurance when it comes round :)

Hoping everyone here is ok, and not having too deep a conversation with one of the porcelain gods! x

    Sorry if that was me!

Hope midwife appointment all went well for you! At least you are vomiting, I just get the constant nausea. I'd so much rather just get it up and have some relief for 10 minutes lol.

Hope you get your scan date through soon! And you've only got a couple more weeks until you can tell people, I'm sure they won't say anything to you before! xx

Oh I do not want sickness, I hate being sick!! Thank you for the reassurance that my current symptoms.are normal, I guess it's just you mostly read about morning sickness as the main symptom.

We still haven't told anyone!! Im hoping we can wait until the scan- but we.will just have to wait and see how I'm feeling (because if I feel I have to tell work I will also tell close family too!)

It is one of the main giveaways for pregnant women, but not all of them - maybe you are one of the lucky ones, or maybe give it a couple of weeks and it'll really kick in for you!

Last time we told our close family when we were 6 weeks, and then everyone knew at 10 weeks. This time we told close family when we were 4 weeks pregnant, and then extended family when we were about 8 weeks. Everyone else is still yet to find out. I quite enjoy walking around work with a little secret!

If you do tell people at work, only tell those who need to know, even if you are vomiting, because there's always someone who loves to gossip, and it'll be your news to share, not theirs. Who cares if you have them guessing until your scan? xx
