I have told my best friends, my parents know and my manager at work (we are friends as well so slightly different). They all gave me brilliant support with my loss so i don't mind them knowing.

Hi I am due on the 6th June with my third. I am really suffering from all day nausea and retching. I have a 2.5 year old who is being particularly moody and difficult at the moment. My husband is also getting fed up as can't move to dad or do too much for feeling sick!

Hi all

New to the thread - well returning after a 3 1/2 year break since DD1, currently 6+5, midwife app booked for 20.10.14, have felt pretty pants since BFP contstant nausea and ridiculously tired!!!

Hello, and welcome to rachel and yvette. congratulations on your pregnancies.

When did most of you first hear from your midwife? Was if literally just before your scan or was it a little bit before?

We book our midwife appointments through the dr reception here. So had my dr appointment then went and booked midwife. My booking appointment with her was at 8 weeks . Then fit my scan letter a few days later but I know different places do things differently.

ThinkPink, I nearly did a double-take when I saw your name here, how amazing!!! You must be over the moon to have your BFP, so pleased for you, my fellow irregular cycler

As for hearing from midwife, it varies between areas I'm afraid. Some ladies have to contact their midwives personally, others get a call from the midwife, and then others like in my area get an appointment made at the doctors surgery with the midwife.

When I first saw my midwife I was about 7 weeks, however even though I told her my cycles were irregular she still went by day of LMP to estimate due date, meaning she put me at about 10 weeks. It will be interesting to see what yours will be! I knew I wasn't that far gone (because of 2 Clearblue digis) but I didn't mind because when I had my '12 week' scan I was only 9 and so too early to do the nuchal screening so I got another scan 3 weeks later They are now going with the EDD taken by scan measurements.

Thank you, I.am so shocked to be here!! I was booked in to see a fs and got my bfp a week before the appointment!! I did a test.on cd28 and got a bfn (i only did it as I was going to the walk in centre as I had a uti so thought I would do one in case they asked if I was pregnant) and then I did one on cd35 and got a very faint second line, so hopefully my EDD due date won't be that far out, maybe a week max.

I registered my pregnancy at the gp who then sends it over to the midwife which I did just over a week ago, so I just need to be patient!!

Have my private.early scan in two weeks, wishing it was next weekend but oh is working (typical that he works a max of two weekends a year but they always fall at the worst time!! Lol).

I am still on cloud nine and completely shocked to have a bfp, even though we were TTC! Did not expect it to happen on the first month trying!


Desperately trying to keep my feet on the ground as I realise there are many risks this early on, but keeping my fingers crossed for a happy, healthy pregnancy


I've added my EDD onto the list but due to health problems in myself they won't let me go full term, they expect to deliver around 36/37 weeks but I'll update when I get a date


Only 4 weeks gone so will be making an appointment with a dr this week
