my last pregnancy i didn't' see the midwife till 11weeks. I swear it was only then as they squeezed me in to have the blue book.

I saw a doctor this time and mentioned how bad the pregnancy was with gestational diabetes. She is a new young doctor and put a note on file that i was to be seen promptly by midwife. Then midwife says o you don't' get tested for that till 28 weeks! I am trying to stay off the sweets but untill i get told i have it i don't feel inclined to diet.

Thanks! We're both keeping our fingers crossed everything is ok. DW has been suffering terribly with nausea throughout the day for the last couple of weeks and is quite down about it. Hopefully seeing our blob on the screen today should cheer her up and let her know that it will all be worthwhile.

I'm suffering with terrible pain in my lower right side and back today. I had the same pain 3 weeks ago which lasted a couple of hours.


After consulting Dr Google then, it appears it is Pelvic Girdle Pain, or Ligament Pain, but either way, I don't like it. I really don't want to be sat at my desk as I feel in such discomfort, but I had 2 weeks off work between 3-5 weeks due to OHSS (an IVF complication) so I am conscious that I don't get labelled a pregnancy wimp by colleagues.

Whop Whoo .

After my 5th time of calling today I spoke to a lovely Midwife who told me they must have a wrong phone number for me as they have left me a message to say it is TODAY at 15:30!!!!!! (I check my messages every couple of hours the last week and I haven't heard anything.

My Midwife is expecting me. Pure luck has it that im in the office today and have no visitors this afternoon so I can make it. Just need to come up with some fib as to why I need to suddenly leave early from work.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!

Also my scan is on the 30th September - Perfect I can pre book that off work now.

Oh, and thank you for all who said to give them a call. I would have missed my appointment if I hadn't!

Aww glad you finally got through Milly and you can make both appointments! Good on you for carrying on calling, I'd probably have given up after a few goes! Hope it goes well this afternoon x
