Aunty Pickle
I had my scan this week at 11+0 and the baby was measuring 4.2cm but in order to check the nuchal transparency (which indicates the level of risk of Down's and other chromosomal abnormalities) the baby has to be between 4.5cm and 8.4cm so I am going back for a 2nd '12wk' scan when I am 12wk 6 days . However although he/she was teeny, they were still able to see heart, head, 2 legs & 2 arms, so you will see something at 10+3. Mine was naughty and turned upside down and turned away
Personally I think they are giving you the scan as soon as they can to see if it's twins0 -
It's all going to feel so much more real after the scan!!! At the moment it still kind of doesn't feel real!
I think we'll probably not go for a private scan now - it's only a week on Tuesday so might as well wait and keep the money towards baby things (especially if it's going to be twins we'll need all the extra money!!!!) If we were going to have to wait until 12 weeks I think we would have had one done.Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0 -
Same date as my scan Aunty Pickle! With the full bladder thing I had a private scan at 9 weeks + 2 days and drank before but threw up just before leaving the house, lush! They still did the scan but she had to press really hard on my tummy to be able to get a clear image on the screen & the pictures weren't great but they could do measurements & see the heartbeat & in you're case look for more than 1 even if you don't have a full bladder. If they want a better image they will just send you away to drink & come back & scan you again. Hope that helps! x0

I remember going for my dating scan for #1. I drank loads before i went, and then there was a backlog at the hospital -1.5 hrs, so i was absolutely BURSTING to the point of pain. Had to go and try and let out a bit of pee before the scan. Learnt my lesson for the next scan, take the bottle of water to the appointment and drink it there once you know the queue time!!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Naughty Pinkshoes. Tut tut tut.
I bought my tutor group some mini milky-ways on Monday, but didn't give them out as they were being too annoying. They can be quite a challenging lot at times...
I then got peckish on Tuesday and opened a bag and ate one.
The bag is now empty and all 14 of the yummy squishy gooey scrumptious little things have gone. Ohps.
I'm peckish again - do I open the second bag?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
lol pinkshoes!
Just been phoned by the surgery and they want me to take in another urine sample first thing on Monday to be sent off?!!! I hope it's not showing anything serious.Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0 -
Anyone's OH confused with food shopping choices? I used to really like yoghurt so bought a lot (they were on special offer too) and since then I've gone off them...
then I wanted mini-cheddars and could eat them, thought "fantastic" bought some multi-packs (on special offer of course!) and have gone off them....
the drink I normally like which I bulk buy I've gone off so we have a cupboard of that (flavoured water)
he can't keep up!!! :rotfl:
He is being an absolute treasure and keeping me out of the kitchen though!! :TRock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0 -
Serious preggie cravings today, just wanted to eat everything, I never seem to feel satisfied so had fish and chips for dinner which did the trick. I am out for a meal at jimmy spices tomorrow evening so that should fill me up as well.:jMarried 16/07/2010, ds1 born 11/08/12, baby due 08/05/20150

That made me chuckle Aunty-Pickle. I was terrible with my DD pregnancy. Couldn't eat any red meat. Mainly lived on fresh mango, breaded fish or chicken, and.................... mini cheddars, branston pickle flavour mini cheddars, much tastier and tangier. Usually eaten with the mango.
So far i've generally not fancied eating anything at all, mainly a bit of fruit, although i have ordered a huge box of branston pickle mini cheddars, just in case.:D
I am really noticing sensitivity to smell now though. Things really make me wretch! Is it only me?Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

I had a huge craving for sweet & sour chicken balls tonight, had ordered a take away by 7pm before OH was home, arrived at 8, when I was nearly crying with starvation, are half of what was on my plate, then was moaning how full I was, fell asleep in the sofa & am now in bed. I'm so rock & roll!!
My sense of smell hasn't been very different except.... In the staff room in work, the bin where everyone puts their used tea bags, I got a waft of that smell yesterday & heaved! Gross!!
Hope everyone is ok & has a good weekend.0
