  • Morning All.

I hope you are all having a relaxing weekend and your symptoms are all bearable! Not too much sickness i hope.

I had a good laugh from something my OH said last night that i thought youd all laugh about it also, but wanrning, this story is about "nighttime acitivites". If anyone thinks ive gone OTT then let me know i will edit the stoy.

Any way, the last few weeks ive been away aand my OH has been away and i obviously havent been feeling 100% with bloating, cramping and very sore boobs, therefore, the "nightime activities" have been abscent.

LAst night, i came home lateish and went straight to bed. While falling off to sleep my OH tells me he is OK that he has to be celebate for another 9 months!!!!

Well that woke me up and i said "whys that?". He replies "well you have 7 months of preganancy left and apparently it will be at least 2 months after until you'll feel comfortable again".

I looked at him confused as said "why do you say that?"

He said "I read it online. We dont have "nightime activities" while your pregnant."

ALl i could do was laugh in his face!!!!!!!

He is suppose to be an intelligent man but apparently he believe everything he reads on the internet!!!!

    ANyway story over!!!! Silly MAn!

Hi everyone. I've literally just got my BFP for our #2, and I'd like to come and join this merry band again. Nice to see a few familiar faces on here from TTC.
If someone is doing lists, I'd like to be added. My self EDD is 20/5/2015. No appointments yet as I need to get booked in.
I'm going to get referred to the same hospital as last time as they are the best in the SE ratings wise.

Welcome to Jane, Downhillfast and Kira000! Congrats on your BFPs!

Sorry if TMI... I'm feeling pretty anxious today. Yesterday I woke up to some brown discharge when I wiped, then had terrible nausea all day and discharge again before bed. Today the same happened this morning, the nausea is much more bearable but I have some aches in my back and hips like I get before my period starts. I'm really worried, has anyone else experienced this?
  • jovie, I know its so scary, but I've read a lot about spotting in early pregnancy & it is apparently pretty normal. I had some pink when I wiped yesterday after having it once before about 4 weeks ago. I was having a svn yesterday anyway & saw baby dancing around so was reassured by that. The cramps, backache & general feeling AF is about to turn up has been with me most of the time, I'm 9+3 now.

I know it's hard but tr not to worry. Keep an eye, if anything gets very painful or you start bleeding a lot I'd def get checked out.

    Hope that helps x
  • Yay kira, great to, see you over here.

Re nausea it's not as bad as my first pregnancy yet. With my first pregnancy I didn't throw up but felt very nauseous and at one point I remember eating lots of tomato soup and crumpets with goats cheese on. Still early days though with me only 5 weeks on Tuesday.

Re discharge etc I haven't experienced this but maybe give your midwife/early preg team a call for support tomorrow.

Thanks Princess Kate, it does help. I keep telling myself everything's fine, but its so hard when you don't know what to expect and haven't told any of my friends yet. Good to have this board for support :)

Thank you, I haven't had an appointment with the midwife yet, due to see her on the 16th. Can you just ring the early pregnancy team? I've seen that there is one at the hospital i'm planning on going to but didn't know if you could just call them or if you needed to be referred?
  • Welcome Kira *waves*

Hope you're ok Jovie, if I remember right, brown blood is old blood so the 'best' kind (if there is such a thing). The EPU's in my area you need to be referred to by your doctor or MW so I'd say maybe book in to see your docs tomorrow and see if they'll refer you. My MW said she's there for the routine stuff but for anything out of the ordinary, to go straight to the GP. Defo worth a visit even just for reassurance and piece of mind. Hope you can try and relax this evening x
  • welcome kira!

    Hi everyone!
I actually managed some soup today! Hooray! :j My OH said it was a bit plain but that was exactly what I wanted!! (Butternut squash but not spicy or anything) I know it's good that I can eat it but I'm getting tired of cheesy pasta!!! :p

My mum has been up this weekend which has been lovely, she has helped with housework and ironing and saying "I hope I'm not interfering" while offering to change our bed and hang the washing up etc!!! No, you're not interfering, you're being lovely!!!!! :D

    Thanks everyone :).

As much as I want this baba, I am dreading this pregnancy, as I was really sick from wk2 up to 5months last time, and have already started getting waves of nausea (and one sickness), and barely at 12DPO!
Even more tricky is am on Hols with my mum and her friend, and I don't want to let on, and she is practically trying force feeding me booze which I don't want to have. Tried fobbing her off with tummy ache( which I do have from implantation) and she is now trying to shove nurofen down me as well!!

  • Evening ladies! Sorry I’ve been missing for a while, was feeling a bit down last weekend and then this weekend just feeling really tired and yucky but nothing to report really.

Hello to all the newbies – Crazycatlady2014, Louised78, Jediquigley, betti911, boat girl, janed9388, downhillfast and Kira000. Wow lots of newbies in one week, looks like we’ve been having a fun summer ;) Hope you all have super smooth pregnancies!

Missymoo – Wow all credit to you for being a teacher, I always thinking it looks really hard on those Educating... programs, but rewarding too. Exciting that your next scan is on Tuesday!

CrazyDaisyDee – How are you with respect to your chronic condition? I’m having good days and bad but it’s generally ok. Your specialist sounds pretty on the ball so that’s good.

Danielley – How are you getting on? Only a few days til your next scan!

Always Alone – Aww your son sounds really cute :)

Carrot34 – Glad you’ve seen your midwife and they’re looking after you :) I assume you’re consultant led as you’re expecting twins? I know from my friend with twins experience that they kept an extra close eye on her.

Aunty-Pickle – Sorry you’re feeling rubbish :) hopefully this stage will end soon and it will be plain sailing for the rest of your pregnancy. How lovely to have your mum looking after you though.

Princess Kate – I hope your cold and sickness are passing. Glad all looked good on your scan :)

Jovie – I had some brown blood and discharge but a scan showed all was well. Brown blood is old blood and the midwife I saw at the scan said it probably tied in with when my period was due so maybe it’s that? My EPU is the same as Always Alone’s and won’t take direct referrals so you need to see your GP or midwife to get referred.

Re the discussion about homebirths – I can totally see why it would appeal to some people, but for me I want the security of being in a hospital! I had an epidural when I had my baby boy. I was absolutely adamant I didn’t one after being scared off them at an NCT class and also I had a fear of not being able to feel anything or move, but I was talked into having one and I was glad I did. I could still feel and move my legs, I could feel my baby coming it just wasn’t painful, I could push and I could get up 20/30 minutes later feeling ok. I think unless my next baby comes really quickly I’d have another epidural. Although that said I have got a hypnobirthing book and CD so I might try that closer to the time. That’s one end of the scale to the other isn’t it?!

As for me, I'm 10+3 now and I have a scan with my consultant tomorrow which I'm looking forward to. Fingers crossed all is well in there! I know it sounds crazy but once or twice a day I'm convinced I can feel baby move. It feels like it bounces from front to back!

Does anyone have any feelings about whether their having a boy or a girl??? DH and I are convinced that this baby is a girl. It just seems like a very different pregnancy and hopefully a different outcome. I don't know, this probably makes me sound more crazy too!

Anyways, I'll try and update tomorrow after my scan. Take care all x
