Delurking....
I've only read this last page but irritability....this will come and go. Your hormones are all over the place just now and this will settle a bit once the placenta fully takes over doing a lot of things for baby. Be aware that like Lemon Tree, this has returned full force for some of us in the third trimester.
Vitamins....I stopped taking them when I finished a bottle on I got into the second trimester as I found I was forgetting most days anyway. I found out I was pregnant very early on so starting taking them a lot earlier than some might. At my antenatal class last week the midwife was talking about the NHS Healthy Start vitamins which should be stocked in all chemists. They contain exactly the same as the likes of Pregnacare etc but only cost £1.37 or something like that for the same amount as you would get for a helluva lot more money in pregnacare. I did look in Boots and Superdrug and couldn't find them but try your local chemist.
Sleeping.....I always try to go to sleep on the left but find myself more often than not waking on my right, back, or even some days on my stomach! I'm 32+5 so how I'm still managing that I've no idea!
Bounty packs, you may not get the first from midwife until dating scan or just after. In the first pack you will get a voucher for the second (I think if you redeem this in asda you get a free gift from them too) and then the last you get when you're in having baby. There's loads of different clubs, Cow & Gate, Aptamil, Emma's Diary (well worth while) to name just a couple. Have a search and share what you find with others
Be aware that there has been issues with Boots parenting club, I kept logging into my account and it kept asking me to join the club. After 4 times I got fed up and contacted them via facebook pm and they found I wasn't joined up. They did it for me and I should get my welcome pack soon and be able to get my changing bag et. They gave me 500 points for my troubles too
Hope these help some of you. Good luck in your pregnancies.

Well ladies, after my reassurance scan last week and seeing the babies were good I started heavy bleeding on Saturday.
Every time I stand up or walk for more than 4minutes I am having heavy bleeding. I have been laying down all weekend but still managed to have heavy losses 4 times over the weekend.
Spent all morning in emergency EPU. The babies are ok. Still growing and heart beats good.
They haven't been able to figure out reason for bleeding but they can say its definitely not the babies and as far as I'm concerned that's all that matters.
They took the bleeding really seriously so I'm glad.
A point for you all - if you do bleed (which I hope you don't) take a photo on your phone every time. This may sound gross but it meant I could show them and have proof rather than trying to explain. As soon as I was able to show it over the multiple days they took it seriously.
Now that I feel a bit more confident I will update the lists.
I hope the rest of you had better weekends.0 -

Hugs to you Carrot - even though both babies are fine it still must be very scary for you to experience heavy bleeding like that, and also that they can't find any reason for it, but then I'm glad you've also been reassured. They are the experts so they know what they're talking about! I hope it stops soon and the rest of your pregnancy is more smooth sailing. Good to see you back0

Hi All - can I join you ladies please? I dont even have an appointment with my doctor till Monday but I have just recently had a positive pregnancy test which should roughly make me 5 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. So happy and excited! Hello Everyone0
-
Welcome Georgie. Anyone is welcome. I cant see a doctor or midwife until 10 weeks here so there is no prerequisite to have seen a medical professional before joining us ladies!0

Hi everyone, having a really bad day today
been trying to ring the centre where I'm supposed to book to see midwife and it's closed until, the kids are back at school, spoke to someone who was at another site linked into,it,and went back to my gp to see if there was anything else I could do and I've basically been told to wait out the next 2 weeks and then make an appointment when it reopens. Tried ringing local midwife unit and they won't help me. Suffering from really bad nausea and a little bit of,stomach ache so just feel rotten and don't no what else to do short of,going to a n e and possibly wasting their time. I think if I didn't have the belly ache and nausea I'd feel a lot better about waiting to make an appointment but it just feels like my doctors don't wanna no coz of,the area I live in. If we hadn't moved house I'd have been able to see a midwife at the surgery by now
sorry for depressing post xxx
Debt free finally :j

aw, big hugs trixsie.
It's silly isn't it? It's now that I want to be able to speak to a midwife with all the "is this normal, what can I do about x? etc" stuff. I understand they probably haven't got the resources to see everyone but it's still frustrating.
Big hugs too for the nausea etc. It sucks doesn't it?! All I can say is if you think of something you want to eat then eat it! And if you find something you can eat then eat more of it!! Little and often if you can.
And just try and keep your fluids up.
Hugs carrot, must be scary despite the assurances.
ummm, sorry if there were others - I can't remember!!! but hugs to everyone anyway however you are experiencing these early weeks!
oh, welcome Georgie!!Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0 -
Oh Carrot, sorry to hear you're bleeding again but so glad the babies are ok. Just take really easy I guess and hopefully it will stop again soon. Seems like you've got a really resilient pair of babies there which is good!
Trixsie, how far gone are you? I know where I live booking in with the midwife is done at eight weeks ideally but I don't think it would matter too much if you were a week or too later cos I think they'd still get you in for your 12 week scan on time. I don't know if you know though that the charity Tommy's have a helpline that you can phone and speak to a midwife? Just Google Tommy's and it should come up.
My DH and I are big supporters of Tommy's as they fund research into miscarriage and stillbirth. DH is doing a half marathon in October to raise money for them.
Hi Georgie! Of course you're fine to join, we don't check with your doctors first0 -
Carrot that sounds so scary; what a relief the babies are OK.
I guess I should be moving up to the next thread now since I hit 12 weeks at the weekend. Wishing you ladies all the best and hope to see you there soon x0
