So ladies I had my scan & everything was perfect! It was so amazing to see it on the screen & the heartbeat was so strong & clear, it was a combination of relief and overwhelming happiness seeing everything was ok! Hubby took a video of the heartbeat & we got a few pictures, we could even tell which way was up! We told both sets of parents tonight & my 1 brother & SIL, will tell the rest of our siblings over the weekend. So lovely to see everyone so happy got us!

Has anyone else got scans coming up soon?0 -
Just thought I'd share that I read a brilliant description of the general rubbish and tired and nauseous feeling I have (and some of you no doubt have too) ..... an article said it is like bad jet lag. And it is!
As soon as OH gets home I can tell him that and he should (hopefully!) understand 'cos he travels a lot with work. Not that he isn't sympathetic, he is being lovely but I don't think he really understood what I feel like.
Hopefully it may help some of you to describe to other people what you feel like. Then again, I hope none of you feel that bad!!!!
On another note, some of my clothes are already feeling tight around my boobs!!!
Hope everyone is ok - I am soooo glad I only work mornings, don't know how I would cope otherwise!Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0 -
Just a quick question - where are you guys going for your private scans?
I am trying to find somewhere in the North West but the place I found only does from 7 weeks0 -

Thanks
I had a scan at the EPU at 5 weeks previously. What do they look for then?0 -

Hi Gleeful, just wanted to say I've had a scan this pregnancy at 6 weeks and my previous pregnancy at 6 weeks and 4 days and both times they've been able to see a heartbeat straight away. However both of those scans were NHS (to rule out an ectopic after having one previously) and both internal. I don't know but I wonder if private places only scan externally? I'm sure one of the other ladies could tell you. I'm in the midlands so I can't recommend anywhere local to you but I would say that the scan I had earlier this week at 7 weeks and 5 days was much better as you could see a body, head and arms rather than the little blob that you could see at 6 weeks! Hope that helps x0
