  • Oh Carrot, hope the bleeding stops. Do you gave an EPU you can go to? Failing thet, defo give your midwife/GP a call. Big hugs

Lovely picture Mrs T_M, see you on the next thread!
  • Thinking of you carrot, I agree with the other ladies, go to your GP tomorrow & get a referral to your EPU.

Fab picture Mrs TM, your EDD is my birthday, good date! x

AFM - I've started spotting again. It started on Monday and is continuing. This is the longest it's lasted before. Plus my breasts no longer hurt (since yesterday). I'm really worried and upset I've lost them both.
I received my midwife appointment date today - it's not till the 3/9 so two weeks away.
I also have a private scan booked for the 11th September. But with the bleeding this all feels unnecessary now.

I don't know what to do. I know at this stage nothing can affect the outcome but I am so sad and upset. I was so excited having seen the heart beats and now it feels like it's all over.

Sorry to be a downer but I'm driving myself crazy

carrot - a&e? Agree - take a photo of the blood/take a pad with you. You might need to sit and insist in A&E but worth it for peace of mind. Hopefully it'll just be a stupid placenta thing in the wrong place or implanting and nothing more. I don't agree with reassurance scans but of there is bleeding or pain that is different and well worth checking out. I don't agree with them because I don't want women with pain or bleeding to have to wait behind those with no symptoms.

Thanks ladies. I appreciate all the reassurance and support.

I've already had 2 scans this pregnancy because of the bleeding and the GP has been great. I kind of don't want another scan because I can't have scans all the time. That's just silly.
I read different things including that some twin pregnancies have more bleeding etc. I just hope this is what it is, and just bad timing that my only symptom (sore boobs) has gone at the same time.

I think I'm going to give it another day and see how I get on. If it continues I'll do something for my own reassurance (and mental health)!

Mrs TM - congrats on moving up to the next thread. Hope your next 6months are uneventful.

Thanks ladies - having you guys make this much easier to go through.
  • Stay positive Carrot, we're all here to listen & for you to talk to. xxx

Carrot, if it's any reassurance my boobs stopped hurting a couple of weeks ago. I had a scan on Saturday at 11 weeks and both babies were fine.

I know it's hard but try not to stress; if you're worried about the bleeding etc then speak to your GP or midwife ASAP because the worry isn't good for you xx

Carrot, who says you can't have scans all the time? You're probably worried that you are making a fuss over nothing or that you are bothering the doctors, but its their job. I've been sat in A&E before and have seen so many ridiculous time wasters (one called an ambulance for a graze on their finger...) so do not feel like you are one of them as you have a genuine concern. If your GP has been great so far then take advantage of that. Pregnancy is scary enough as it is, but when you're bleeding I don't think you can leave anything to chance. If it's nothing to worry about then they will say so, but because you have miscarried before and are expecting twins this time I would say that's solid ground to get a quick check over.
I hope everything turns out ok, let us know how you get on. Hugs xxx

Mrs_T_M - amazing picture! And I even guessed where the head was before I saw it :p Hope to see you over then in the not so distant future x
  • Feeling quite nervous about my scan later, hardly slept at all last night! Shattered today & feeling quite distracted! It's not till 5.30 but I'll be finishing work about 4 & picking up hubby from the train station before going up to the clinic.
  • Good luck Princess, keeping everything crossed that all goes well. Let us know how you get on :) x
  • Carrot - Consider yourself told by the MSE ladies! I hope you're taking it easy too, no lifting, pushing, pulling etc!

Good luck with your scan Princess Kate! I just imagine you as Kate Middleton because of your name ;)
