  • Glad the scan went well Mrs_T_M! Always lovely to see a pic, even though I can't actually work out which end is what :p

Princess - good luck with your scan on Thursday - hopefully that will satisfy your need of POAS! It must be costing you a small fortune! But I know the need for reassurance that everything is ok :)

Aunty - one of the books I'm reading says about having plain crackers by the side of your bed so that you can have a little nibble before you actually get out of bed, as that is when the nausea can kick in, so it will ease you up and into eating gently. Hope it calms down for you soon. I hope you start feeling better too, pinkshoes - I can't offer much advice on that front though as I've never suffered from hayfever, but my OH does and I know that it can be a right pain in the backside normally, let alone when pregnant!

Welcome to the thread gayley! :) Tilly was right, I had very irregular periods for 6 months after coming off the pill so all the due date estimators using LMP are way off, but I've worked out that I'm roughly 6 weeks by doing 2 digital ClearBlue tests a week apart. I've got a private scan next Weds so hopefully they can clarify this or correct me! Hope your pregnancy is uneventful and enjoyable.

  • Cute photo Mrs TM, although must confess I did think baby was head up!

I have my scan later this morning and I'm really scared - had some more bleeding and tummy ache in the night so I just don't have a good feeling about it :( must try to be positive! Will update later today x
  • Best of luck for the scan today Tilly, will be thinking of you.

I got my letter through last night. Seeing the midwife on the 6th September and having my 12 week scan on the 19th September. Seems like ages away but I shall try and be patient.

I guess they don't think I am as high risk as they originally thought which can only be a good thing.

Have a good day everyone :D
  • Hey ladies, just a quick question... What does your nausea actually feel like? Apologies for the weak-stomached ones who may think this is slightly TMI :o

Yesterday I woke up with bad cramps, making me feel like I needed to go to the toilet (it seems the constipation has sorted itself out for the time being :o) When I was in the bathroom I had this feeling just under my ribs which is hard to explain, but I just felt odd. I didn't feel sick but I went lightheaded and had to dab some cold water on my forehead as I felt really hot. That feeling in my stomach then came and went all day but I didn't get lightheaded again.

Then last night I had those same cramps during the night ad again woke up feeling like I really needed the toilet. Now I just feel uneasy - not enough to put me off food, but I just generally feel unsettled. I've no idea if I actually have an upset stomach or if this is pregnancy related!

Obviously all women are different but I just wondered if any of you feel/felt similar? It's hard to describe really but I know I just don't feel my normal self.

Hi all, hope you're all feeling okay today!

Just a question for you: what symptoms first made you think you might be pregnant, besides a missed period?

Just wondering as I'm driving myself mad.

My sore boobs! I know quite a few people who get sore boobs during their periods but mine never have before. They have been sore from 4 weeks.
Also from 4 week, I was going to the toilet a lot more and more tired than normal (which is saying something for me with my underactive thyroid). Also, a lot of bloating going on which gets worse as the day goes on.
At about 5 weeks the constipation hit in. (sorry if TMI)

Other things I have noticed in the last 2 weeks, im gassy (i.e. burping lots) and lots of ligament pains, especially when coughing and sneezing or lying down and laughing or rolling over. Im just starting (at 6.5 weeks) to have waves of queasiness that come and go. Also, my appetite is less as I feel full a lot (probably down to the constipation and tiredness)

So lots has changed with my body in only 2 weeks, its crazy!

I haven't had any nausea from this pregnancy (surprisingly!), but when I was pregnant with Dale, I'd get where I didn't want to smell, look at, or think of food, much less eat! Kinda felt like, ergh, weird tummy. I figured out that I was needing to eat at least 2-3 bites of something every 2 hours or so to keep from feeling bad. It was solid from 6 weeks to 12 weeks.

I keep waiting for more symptoms to show up other than the worst gas known to man (I think I can out-do mustard gas at this point!) and sore and itchy boobies. I can feel MiniTM once in a while, more now that I've gotten back into a routine, but still just teeny little pops and butterflies for now. Can't wait until I can feel MiniTM rolling over and kicking, that was AMAZING with Dale and I really really miss it!

Although I've not actually thrown up (I am not a puker in general and never have been) I've had some horrendous nausea.

Mine has started when standing up, feeling very dizzy, light headed and sick. I've then moved to hang my head over the toilet and got so hot I've had to strip off all my clothes! It generally subsides after I sit or lie down for a bit then eat something. After the first bad time I spent an hour lying down in just my pants on the bare floorboards of the toilet/landing (house is being renovated)!

I cried through the whole of Forrest Gump, from start to finish. I never cry at TV/films!
