Thank you Mrs T M xx I suffered from depression in my teens so I need to be aware of the signs too.

I feel much better now that I have done the cb digi, because I know that it needs more hcg to trigger a positive than the FRER do, so if I was worried the level had dropped thus creating a lighter line on the FR, the fact that there is enough of it to get a positive on the CB makes me feel better! Plus I am only 11DPO so positives at all are very encouraging I think :)

    Thank you for responding
  • I had never heard the term chemical pregnancy before so I have just Googled it. Wow 50-60% of first pregnancies end in early miscarriages! I am starting to feel a little worried as I am now 6+5 and have no symptoms what so ever. Not even the slightest bit of nausea! No sore breasts or anything!

I was thinking how lucky I was but must admit I am starting to feel a little jealous of all of your symptoms :shhh: I would just like to feel pregnant IYKWIM

No, please don't be sorry I have been feeling like this for the last few days. Before my BFP I have never looked into pregnancy, just knew the basics IYKWIM, now I am constantly reading up on things and making myself worried. I need to give myself a baby break, only wish it was that easy lol
  • Massive hugs Gelly I'm so sorry for your loss.

daisiegg I'm so sorry you're freaking out. I know how hard it is. The first few weeks were hell for me as I went in to get what seemed like a normal af and I was convinced it was a chemical. I know you keep testing to reassure yourself, but I'd advise that if you're anything like me (overly analytical with a tendency to worry) it'll just do the opposite. I hope this one sticks for you.

    WD x
  • Gelly thanks for coming back and letting us know how you are. I'm so sorry things didn't work out for you this time and hope to see you back here when your ready! Make sure your taking it easy. Lots of love x

I've got another scan Friday so should be able to be properly dated then. From the last scan I should be 11 + 2 so we will see! Hopefully everything's ok. Even though all was fine at 9 + 2 still so nervous.

    Hope everyone's ok?!

Hope the scan goes well on Friday :D sorry for asking, don't answer if you don't want to but I don't know as I am new to the thread, are these normal scans or private scans or something else?

We have booked a private scan for when I should be about 7 + 5. Have paid a small deposit but it is refundable if we don't end up needing the scan (:( hope we do, fingers crossed). Not sure if many people do this but I know what a worrier I am and it would be nice to see as early as possible if things are ok, or as ok as it is possible to see at that stage. Also, we have a holiday booked in April and need to decide what to do about it. If I wait until a 12 week scan I think it will only be the week before the holiday so too late to cancel if we need to!

We also have a European city break booked at the end of Feb, when I will be about 8 + 5. Anyone else planning to fly while pregnant? It feels like it should be something you should avoid but I have read a lot and it all seems to say it is ok...

Don't worry there's plenty of time to start feeling awful :)

I'd worry more about loss of symptoms rather than if you have none to start with.

My friend has had none the whole time the lucky so & so!

By 6+5 I'd been puking non stop for a week, honestly don't wish it upon yourself it's horrible! And once it starts you will panic if it goes, so if you are a lucky one who doesn't get it at all honestly please make the most of it! :)
  • Just spotted you posting in here Daisy, congratulations wedding venue twin, how exciting!

jenand8285 - I had barely any symptoms at all for the whole first trimester. I wasn't sick, didn't go to the loo anymore than usual, and my boobs only hurt at night from about 7 weeks. I was so worried because everyone else was saying how rough they felt...looking back I wish I'd just been able to realise how lucky I was and tried not to worry. But I know it's a lot easier said than done!

Daisy, I wouldn't really be worried about flying. I went to France when I was about 8/9 weeks (although we drove), I was pretty exhausted though so had to take it easier than I usually would but it was nice to have an excuse for afternoon naps! If you're feeling ok and have no problems I'd definitely try to make the April holiday. I wish we'd had a chance to have a last proper holiday before our baby arrives!

Eek hello! I was wondering how you were doing, you must be getting close now! :D funny you should pop up as I just 10 minutes ago phoned our wedding venue to book our free night's stay there! :)

The April holiday is to Boston, Florida and NYC. We paid slightly extra for everything to be refundable in case I was pregnant and we needed to cancel. I would like to go though if it is safe...but we might jig things around a bit as at the moment there are two internal flights quite early in the morning, so will have to think about that. Apparently air hostesses and pilots fly while pregnant in the first two trimesters so surely one or two flights for me would be safe. We fly first class too so lots of room to stretch out and move around and fewer queues for the toilets. I will be about 14 weeks (fingers crossed) so I am hoping if I get bad morning sickness the worst will be over by then too...

Hope you are ok laura, lovely to hear from you venue buddy! :D
