Gelly I'm really sorry to hear your sad news. I hope your husband is looking after you. Big hugs xxx0

I am also sorry to hear Gelly's news
......
Can I join please? I am from the TTC thread. I said I would not join this thread so early as I only just got my BFP (I think I am 4 weeks today) but my husband is away the next week and I think I will need to chat. I don't think it is particularly good or fair to keep talking on the TTC thread even at this early stage, so....will you have me?0 -
Welcome Daisiegg. Pleased you got your BFP so quickly. Looking at the ttc thread I would say that's a definite positive. What did your HB say?
Here's to a happy and health 9 months for you.0 -

Thank youtook another test this morning and the line is as dark as the control line today. So I think it is pretty definite - for now - hope it sticks!
Hubby is thrilled, I think more than me! Not that I am not pleased, of course I am delighted...but...also PETRIFIED and freaked out. Is that normal?!0 -
Gelly I'm so sorry
There is a miscarriage support thread if you would like to post on that when you feel ready. I have lost five babies (single pregnancies) and know how desolate it feels. I hope your procedure goes well. xxx

Hi daisiegg, I had a feeling you would be joining me over here this month! So pleased for you.
AFM, went to the GP today and he checked blood pressure etc and told me to book in with the midwife at 8 weeks. I'm so excited! He worked it out me out as 4w+5d.
How do I calculate my due date? I have used an online calculator and they all give me different dates between 21st-28th of September! Does cycle length make a difference?0 -

Oh, I phoned the GP yesterday but they just booked me straight in with the midwife on 7th Feb. No gp appointment in the meantime. Don't know if that is normal/ok?
I think cycle length does make a difference but the GP/midwife won't take that into account I don't think. I think from what I have read they will just go from the date of your LMP and assume average cycles.
Mine is coming out at 3rd October if I use online calculators that don't adjust for cycle length, but if I adjust cycle length it comes out at 7th October. I am not really that bothered as I figure they never come on the supposed 'due date' and at least the rough week is nice!
Have you used this one? http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/due-date-calculator.aspx0 -

If you know when you ovulated, the day you were 0dpo, you were 2 weeks pregnant.
Otherwise go from your first day of your last period. But this is only accurate if you have a 28 day cycle as it assumes you ovulated on day 14.
Due date calculators will ask you to put in either ovulation or first day of last period. Although a few will ask you your cycle length and then it should be right as it will work out the ovulation date. Although if you have a really long or short luteal phase it will be a bit off.0 -
I hadn't tried that one but just did it with my 24 day cycle and it's coming out 24th September...day after my birthday lol. I guess like you say they don't ever seem to come on time so it doesn't matter too much.
The GP appointment probably just depends on how your surgery works I suppose. They told me it was more just to register as being preggo, I was in and out within 5 minutes.0 -

Ah right, I have a 24 cycle and Ov-ed on CD14 so the NHS one is probably right then as it asked me the cycle days.0
