  • Take care Gelly. Hope your back here in no time :)

Daisie - I did a few cheaper tests & was driving myself nuts. So I went to tesco & bought a 2 pack of clear blue digital ones. Think it was £14 or £18.
Once I seen it say the word pregnant plus how many weeks since conception it settled me a bit. The doctors usually say there are a waste of money but for me it was physically seeing the word pregnant that I needed lol! :rotfl:

    Ps congrats!

Thanks. None of my tests are cheapies - the one I have been doing are First Response Early Response. I have CB tests too (yes, I am addicted to POAS) but I was scared to do one early as I didn't want to see 'Not Pregnant'. However I just gave in and did a CB digi and it says Pregnant, 1-2 weeks :) This was on third wee of the day,too :o that ties in more with the time I think I ovulated and puts me 5 days behind the date it would be if I went by my LMP. So it is still very early - but - it is very reassuring to see the word Pregnant! Now little beanie just needs to cling on in there :)

Oh gelly I'm so glad you posted an update for us I've been thinking of you and am glad you're home now. Please make sure you take all the time you need to rest and recover Hun and don't try and rush yourself. As skintchick mentioned the misscarriage thread on the forum is so helpful and if you feel able they can offer you a lot of support. I really hope you're back here with your forever baby soon x

Daisiegg hugs for being worried I know they tell us not to keep testing for the very reason you mentioned but we usually all ignore it anyway! Hopefully it's just less concentrated wee or less dye as you mentioned. As long as you feel fine try not to worry x

Don't worry it happens to us all, I'm still worrying about every twinge and if I don't feel that I've been sick as many times as the day before (even though I'm desperate to be done with the sickness) or do my b00bs ache less and don't get me started on the knicker twitching!

Daisieegg try not to worry. I used cheaper internet ones but the lines (both control and test line) fluctuated loads. I'm 14.5 weeks now and it doesn't get easier LOL. With my chemical pregnancy the first response stayed positive linger than the clearblue digital. Pretty much on the day it ended the digi said not pregnant so now I trust those more. Try not to stress xxxx
Happy Wife and Mother :-) DD is 7 bump is due in July and DH is 40.

Ok I have just noticed as well (though it is not clear in the picture) the control line is also slightly lighter than the control line on yesterday's...lots of stuff online is saying it can just be to do with slight variations in the amount of dye in each test...and today's test is from a different box and it is a different batch and date code too...trying not to worry...but hard!

Oh god, if this does stick I am going to be freaking out over every tiny twinge for the next 9 months aren't I?! Argh :(

Tests can vary within the same lot, and even the same box, so they will probably definitely vary from different ones. The darkness of the line doesn't matter, as long as it's there! A blood test is the only real way that you can see if the hormones are doubling like they should be, and is typically unnecessary.

I'm not trying to down play your fears and worries, far from it. Huge hugs, and any time you feel like something could be wrong in the slightest, call your gp/midwife! That's what they are there for!

Maybe not freak out, but worry, you will! I'm 19+5 today, and I still check the paper every time I wipe and my knickers. Even though I can feel little one kicking and moving now, I still check, and probably will until mini is here! :o

At least the worry is normal, just don't let it control you. If you feel that you're worrying too much, speak to your gp for a referral for counselling. Nothing wrong with it, and they are usually more than happy to help, or just lend an ear to your worries and concerns. I will quickly request help/someone to talk to if I start feeling overwhelmed, especially after the birth because I do suffer from depression. I'm medicated for it, and it seems to have stabilised now, which is a God send!

This is going to be me! As for knicker twitching I am already doing that too :o

Thank you :) I will just keep fingers crossed. I know there is nothing I could do, if a chemical pregnancy happens, it happens, but that doesn't stop me worrying!
