Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! Part 4!!

I should really move over myself, but Mrs Splank isn't getting her scan until this Friday, so despite 12w being today, going to hang around for a little bit longer I think with out first we were knocked back a few days

Just realised I'm on the last as being due in 2014, can you please amend? I'm obviously in denial that 2015 is going to happen!

Can't wait for my scan on Friday! We still havent told anyone and im quite obviously getting a bit fat lol. Can't wait to tell my mum and brothers on saturday!

I cannot wait till Thursday for my scan just to be able to tell DS and everyone! We have been slowly suggesting baby brother/sister to him maybe one day etc over the last few weeks, he has come around to the idea maybe one day it might happen but apparently if I have a girl I will have to move out! Gotta love him!
Had quite pad shooting pains in 1 boob last night, random, and the usual stretching pains in my womb were lots worse last night too! Paranoia started creeping in but I had to shake it off. Everything will be fine Thursday I keep telling myself! You don't realise how important it is to hit that goal my first pregnancy I found out quite late and only had a week or 2 till scan!
Can't wait for all the updates this week! X

Hi all, I've joined from the TTC thread after getting my BFP at the weekend and it's lovely to see some of those graduates here doing well My OH was over the moon and wasn't expecting it either, especially as I'd done a test the week before to see if I could drink when out meeting friends, but it was negative so I consumed quite a few cocktails I then went and bought a CB digi which said 2-3 weeks (docs terms 4-5 weeks), so of course I felt ridiculously guilty about last weekend, although I'm not sure if the CB was very accurate as I did it at 2am with hardly any wee lol and the result took ages to come through, plus my other HPT had a faint line. Hmmm, who knows!?

My cycles were very irregular ranging from 38 days to 56 so I haven't a clue when EDD is. I didn't use OPK's and stopped tracking this month to try and be a bit more carefree about it all, so it obviously worked but I don't know when we actually conceived. I'm thinking beginning to mid April, so I won't ask to be put on the lists until I have a more clearer idea.

Anyways, I've got a docs appointment on Friday but I have no idea what to expect! I don't know if I've booked it too early or what happens, so if any of you lovely ladies could enlighten me and give me some pointers that would be great. I'm sorry for rambling but I'm just so excited, although I've been feeling really rough today and yesterday and was awake at 4am to go the loo and kept coming over in hot sweats and couldn't sleep Today I have a horrible sore throat and just feel tired and achey, plus I've been feeling hungry but haven't actually wanted to eat anything. I don't think I'm going to cope with this pregnancy malarkey very well!!

Congrats missymoo x I had flu like aymptoms which led me to doing a test and it being positive! Looks like your having the same, my "flu" lasted a week and a half before I tested and that qas only because I was gagging when cooking fried eggs!

When I went to Dr he had a fewl of my uterus to see uf he could determine how far I was, he couldn't so he just referred me to midwife who then rang me for booking in and and organised a scan asap as I have irregular cycles and as we werent ttc we had no idea! turned out I was 8 weeks at firat scan so back on Thursday for actual dating scan but have had a scan inbetween as had some bleeding at 9 weeks!

Hi Missymoo! Lovely to see you here.

You may remember my ramblings on the ttc thread before we got our bfp? We also didn't have a clue when we conceived as my cycles had been so long.

I had my booking in appt with my midwife 2 weeks after our bfp and explained my cycles to her and she got us a scan booked in within a couple of weeks. I used a cb digi and was fairly sure that it was more accurate than my lmp date would've been so she said it was easier to have a scan and then see where we were.

Our bean measured 9+1 on the scan and I had estimated 9+4 so for us the cb digi was spot on. We have our 12 week scan this Thursday to get an accurate edd as they didn't want to date from the 9week one. The lines I had on the other tests I took we're really feint even with fmu.

Your doctor will probably get you to book in with the midwife, mine told me there was no point me doing another test as the ones I had already done were just as accurate as the ones they would do.

As for feeling rough, for me I have not enjoyed these first few weeks. I'm not good at being ill and I've felt tired and nauseous on a near daily basis since 6 weeks! I know it's a bit of a taboo to say that but I started to feel guilty for not enjoying this time and oh said he wouldn't enjoy what I was going through so not to worry about it - I'm in it for the end result.

Wow, sorry that was so long. I've had some really horrible family news and I'm trying to distract myself til OH gets home and I can cry on his shoulder (again!)

Legendmum - flu like symptoms sounds about right although I'm feeling better now than I did earlier and early am, but I really hope they don't last that long! I hate being ill, I think I cope with it worse than a man I had put it down to being very busy, plus my OH said he had a bit of a sore throat this morning, but then I've also felt little twinges, have been needing a wee more often than normal and have also been feeling a bit constipated today so I'm putting it down to the pregnancy. I really didn't think I would feel anything until a lot later!


Estateprincess - Glad to see you too and that all is going well! Good to hear that the CB was accurate for you, hopefully it is for me too but as I said I didn't use FMU and reading other peoples experiences some would get 3+ one day and then 2-3 the next, then back to 3+ so who knows... at least it shows I'm pregnant, that's the main thing! I'll do another test on Thurs or Fri am before the docs just to check again and to hopefully see a darker line.


It's interesting to see that you both had earlier scans before the 12 week - is that just down to where you live, past history or is that standard practice? Good luck to you both for your 12 week scans!
