Welcome Tilly_dreams. Very sorry to hear about your previous losses, I hope this one sticks.

I had a few tummy issues early on, it was just after I found out so wasn't sure if it was due to shock or not!! But it cleared up after a week or so. x

Hi Sulphate and thank you :-) we only lost our son in March so this feels very soon, although we were obviously trying and are pleased to be pregnant again. I always wanted a Spring baby and Valentines Day would be lovely - your child would always be guaranteed to get cards on that day! Apparently I'll be induced at 38 weeks next time so we're looking at mid-March but it feels like I'm getting too ahead of myself to think about it. I've decided to think in smaller milestones so first one is the early scan, fingers crossed. All the best for your scan x

Hi Tilly, congrats! :) hopefully this bean will cling on tightly!! Hope you get your early scan.

I'm another who's slightly in denial! Scan seems ages away (not even had a booking in appointment yet) and I'm convinced they'll tell me there's nothing there! Had no symptoms with my first and a couple so far this time round so am desperately continuing to symptom spot!! Doesn't help that OH is being a kn0b!!

    Hope everyone's had a good day x

Thank you Always_alone :-) you must be a couple of weeks ahead of me. Have you got your booking in appointment booked at least? How old is your first little one if you don't mind me asking? Interesting that you had no symptoms last time and hardly any this time (so far! still time!). Last time I had constant nausea probably around weeks 8 to 12, but I was probably only actually sick half a dozen times. I'm kind of assuming it will be the same this time, but who knows! I've had chicken soup for my tea, hopefully that's gentle on my tummy! X

    Hi,
I've been on these forums for quite a while and never needed to look at this one before...
    6.5 years ago we met
4 weeks ago we got married...
3 weeks ago we discovered we are pregnant
2 weeks ago we discovered we conceived mid May so just starting week 11?
1 week ago we had our booking in appointment
4 days ago we heard a heartbeat with a doppler
Currently waiting for a letter for scan dates!!!

This is our first child together and he has a 10yo from a previous relationship.
We are definitely still in the denial stage!!!!!!!

29 weeks now but spent from week 7-18 feeling nauseous and didn't vomit until into the second trimester (I think once each in weeks 16-18).

there was a large number of us on the thread at that time with tummy issues.I think it might have been the folic acid but I don't know.

Tilly dreams hope this is your forever baby.

Good luck all! I found this stage the hardest along with most of second trimester (due to mis perceived idea that I would hiy some mythical burst of energy/bloom stage). I definitely have found it easier as time has gone on so please be reassured it gets easier and it's ok to find it tough!

Think I'm about 6 weeks Tilly, no booking in appointment yet, apparently my midwife doesn't do it till 10 weeks!! Not quite sure how I'm meant to get through the nxt 4 weeks!! Ds is 2.5 and will be 3 and 3 mths when new bubba arrives! Ds took about a year too conceive and we've been caught first time so massively in shock still!!

Congrats scmp, you've had a busy few weeks!! Is it beginning to sink in at all yet? x

    Hi ladies.
I got my BFP on 19th july but I have hesitated in posting here as I had a MMC in may and didn't want to get too excited. Then on Thursday last week I started bleeding. I have been bleeding ever since and had some cramping. It has been an absolute horrible time and I had resolved myself to another loss.
This morning I have had an early scan due to the bleeding and am in shock. It appears that it is twins.
One is measuring 5weeks 5days (spot on) and the other is measuring 4weeks 5days.
The sonographer thinks that the bleeding and pain may be the smaller one trying to miscarry. She said it is the lower of the two so hopefully won't affect the other one but there is still a risk.
Has anyone heard of this before? And outcomes?
I am so glad that there is still hope (as I had given up all hope) but just worried about losing them both.
I didn't know whether to post here or on the miscarriage support thread as it covers both but I want to be hopeful.

Congrats scmp!! Can't be long til your scan so fingers crossed the date comes through soon.

Thank you ill miss reading :-) I wish I was 29 weeks too! DH tells me off for wishing my life away but I feel like I've gone down that big snake in snakes and ladders that takes you almost right back to the beginning.

Always_alone - you obviously knew what you were doing second time around :p that'll be a nice age gap though. I think I see my midwife first at eight weeks so not too long. She was a great support so I'm looking forward to seeing her again under happier circumstances (fingers crossed).

Hi Carrot34, congrats on your pregnancy and twins too! Fingers and toes crossed that they both stick. I don't really have any advice but I do have a friend who has twins and they measured different dates early on as they came from two eggs i.e. two ovulations in one month so maybe that could be the case? Did they have heartbeats? Guess it bit be a little too early for heartbeats. Are you having another scan in a week or so? Sorry lots of questions! Big hugs x

    Hello

I have heard of it. My youngest brother was a twin. The twin miscarried but he was born fit, well and healthy and is now 22 years old. I don't really know any more details than that though I'm afraid but maybe it helps to hear of an outcome where one made it at least. Sadly this was not my mum's first miscarriage either. I wish you all the best my lovely and have everything crossed that it works for you.
