I haven't posted for a while as I haven't had much to say! I am sorry for the pain that some of you are going through.

I started having nausea around 6 weeks but this seems to have eased off quite a bit now, I'm also feeling less tired but am finding the heat hard to deal with. I'm normally a cold person so am always wrapped up but I'm now finding I need air conditioning on all the time at work, I have all the ceiling fans on at home (even at night ) and I had to get my car air con re-gassed as it wasn't cold enough!!!
I have completely gone off chocolate, deserts and sweets (except mints as these are easing the nausea/indigestion) and most fruit. I can manage apples and Satsuma's :( I seem to be tending to eat a lot of meat and cheese with veg and salad. Oh and ice lollies!

We had a scan last week as we couldn't be sure of the dates as I'd only had 2 cycles after stopping the pill in January, we measured at 9 weeks which is what I thought from CB Digi tests and other signs. We have another scan 07th August to give us our EDD.

I think that is a good idea Mrs_T_M, our's is:

    Estateprincess: EDD 16-24/02/15 - 12 week scan 07/08/14

Thought I'd put this here in case anyone is looking at buying baby stuff soon- I know it's early on in your pregnancies but I went a little mental and bought stuff around my 12 week scan date so just in case... :) :

Kiddicare has been sold by morrisons and is turning to an online only retailer. I've just been to our local kiddicare and these are the markdowns I wrote down...Everything in store only (not online) reduced by 10%-50% depending on what it is. However the online prices are what the store prices are marked down from so you can calculate the in store price using the discounts below. :)

    all baby clothes 50% off.
Car seats and bases 25% off.
    Mattresses 25% off.
    Bedding sets 20% off.
    Furniture 15% off.
10% off food (not including formula)
    20% off highchairs
25% off toys (saw jumparoo for £55)
    15% off prams
    20% off baby care
    between 25-50% off maternity clothes
    10% off nappies.

This is in all Kiddicare stores except Peterborough and you can use the bump and babies vouchers at the till in addition to the storewide discounts.

Obviously may still work out cheaper to buy secondhand but worth going on their website and seeing if you'd be happy paying the online price minus the in store discount for something new.

  • Hi all.

Well I was all quiet as things were going fine for me too - nausea eased up after week 8/9, still had bad wind and indigestion but on Thursday afternoon and evening I was in a lot of pain - I'm used to it high up in my stomach due to ibs which flares up now and then and an awful lot of excess wind since I've been pregnant but this pain was much deeper down below the belly button and wouldnt go away even after a lie down. I then woke up at 4am feeling sick and in a lot of pain again - needless to say I was a little worried (although fortunately had no bleeding). I managed to snooze for a bit and then rang my EPU about 10am. They were great and said to come in for a scan in about an hour. So, had a scan, all looked fine, little thing was wriggling away and lovely strong heartbeat - so relieved and was wonderful to see. So pleased to know all looks well and also that there is definately just one in there! Had kept thinking it might be twins as my belly is showing already (although she has dated me a week ahead of my LMP dates so maybe I'm just growing a fatty!) The sonographer was excellent and had a good look around to see why I had pain but she couldn't see anything - just one of those things I guess. Needless to say I've had a very lazy weekend and am finally feeling a bit better, just going to try and cut down on wheat and other things which trigger my ibs. Hopefully will make it back to work tomorrow dressed in my finest fat pants and floaty tops as I'm not planning on telling them for another couple of weeks yet!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend - can I be added to the list?

Nicky Noo Na glad you had a positive scan! I had similar pains a couple of weeks ago. Hope you're feeling a bit better today.
teaandcakeordeath thanks for sharing, shame about Kiddicare, not planning on buying anything for at least a few weeks and sounds like they will be shut by then.
Mrs_T_M can I be added to the lists please? Thank you for doing them (again!)

    EDD 14/02/15 - 12 week scan date 06/08/14

Just over a week to go now. It's going to drag! As much as I like the idea of a valentine's day baby I'm sure my EDD will be changed by a week at the scan.

The morning sickness has picked up speed in the last week. My MIL is already becoming too much (we told our parents a few weeks ago, I had to tell my boss last week, AND someone else I work with I think has just guessed this morning). She texts me almost daily asking how I am and is surprised/shocked that I am still feeling sick. Shouldn't you be feeling better by now etc etc. Yawn.

Hi all, I'm new here but can I join in? I found out last week I'm pregnant and my edd is 2nd April 2015. I'm desperately hoping it's third time lucky for us as we have had two previous pregnancies, the first was ectopic and the last one resulted in our son being stillborn :-(

I'm off to the doctors later in the week and hoping to get an early scan next week at six weeks to confirm this ones not ectopic at least. I'm not really sure how to deal with the anxiety, think I might be in denial that I'm even pregnant at the mo. Any tips?

Also tmi but anyone else having tummy/toilet issues?!

Anyways, wishing you all easy pregnancies!! X
