Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! Part 4!!

Well we have a naughty baby! Hiding in an awkward position so no scan pic and unsure of measurements! Grrrrr! another scan booked for 16 weeks so September 11th I cannot wait that long! Estimated at 11 +5 today so lost a day! Consultant said if that scan goes ok she's happy for me to be MLC so at least that's good!
Told DS who is 6 and he reckons he already knew! Kids!
Can't wait for news from the rest of you with your scans!

Afternoon Everyone,

We have had our scan and have an EDD of 15/02/2015 after measuring at 12+4 weeks today.

We have a very wriggly bean! We saw a jump (!) and were 'Hi Fived'

We have 4 good pics after I was made to jump around as to start with bean was showing us his/her back and then face rather than the traditional side on view! The difference in growth between today and our first scan 3 weeks ago is amazing, we actually saw individual fingers today

Everything looks good and I suppose I should now be moving up to the 12-24 week thread?! :eek: After a really rubbish week we were so glad to see so much movement today, I can't stop smiling!

Sorry you didn't get to see much Legendmum but you have another scan to look forward to so you can see your baby again:T

Hi all, just to let you know we had a scan this morning and baby is in the right place and has a heartbeat so good news :-) measuring 4mm and 5 weeks 5 days (but I'm six weeks today by date of last period). Such a relief, there may have been a few tears!

I rang my doctors and I can't be referred to the midwife without seeing a gp which seems a bit of a waste of time but what do I know! So I'm off to the docs on Monday but I texted my midwife anyway cos she was lovely last time!

Mrs TM - thanks for the tips re Savers. I'm taking those Seven Seas tablets too so I'll definitely have a look at the weekend to see if I can get them cheaper in my local store.

Carrot34 - are you still here/ reading? Really hope alls well with you.

Ruth - just wanted to say I was so sorry to read your post. I had an ectopic pregnancy too then my son was still born at 32 weeks earlier this year but here I am pregnant again and hoping for third time lucky. Take some time to recover, mentally and physically, first but if it's something you really really want you've got to give it your best shot. I know how hard it is but try to stay positive, it probably is just bad luck, what's happened to me is, and believe it can happen for you too. Look after yourself xx

Congratulations to those who had scans today, bet it is amazing to see and hear that your little one is doing well.

Someone recommended me to buy Emily Oster's 'Expecting Better' and I've just downloaded it to my Kindle, I'm just wondering if anyone else has any other recommendations of books that they've found or have heard are useful and informative? I will also pop to the library at some point, but think I will go to the one out of town just in case someone recognises me

Missy I bought "what to expect when you're expecting" yesterday from asda, price on the back is £16.99 but it was only £8. It's a big book & also has info on how to look after the baby! I also keep doing tests, I find it reassuring to see the line again, today's test the test line was as dark as the control, much much darker than saturday. Have you been having any symptoms yet?

Hi Tilly (and all),

I'm still here - thanks for asking. I've not been feeling very confident about the pregnancy so haven't wanted to post.
After bleeding stopped last week (tuesday) I had strong cramps on Sunday evening and then started bleeding again on Monday morning. Also my pregnancy symptoms (nausea and sore breasts) disappeared at the same time. So I have been thinking the worst since.
I have had some nausea and breast tenderness again today but don't know if its just wishful thinking.
Next scan is on Tuesday. This has been the longest 2weeks ever!

Congrats on the newbies and scans.

Thank you, we have told a couple of people but are going to wait to tell anyone else as the family has a lot to deal with at the moment and although they will be pleased we want to give them some breathing space before we tell them.
