Just a little update.
I had another scan on Monday which confirmed that there was no heartbeat and baby was no longer really visible even though I had no bleeding or pain. I decided to just wait for the miscarriage rather than have surgery so they told me to come back in 2 weeks for another scan.
Bleeding started yesterday as just brown blood but it is really bad today with a lot of clots. I don't know what we will do now, I have been completely put off getting pregnant again after the ectopic and now this, it feels like there is something wrong with me.
Wishing all the other ladies on here all the best with their pregnancies x0 -
Aww, RuthL, huge hugs hon. If you feel up to it, you may want to check out the miscarriage thread. When we lost Dale, they were wonderful. I wish that no one ever had to go through losing a baby, but always remember that you are not alone!0

Congratulations milly and welcome, I've only just joined myself after getting my BFP at the weekend, also after 7 months of trying! It's a lovely feeling isn't it? I just did another test this morning as I had one left over and I was so happy to see it's a lot darker already, just since Saturday0

Just an FYI for anyone who may be interested, Savers has Seven Seas prenatals 28 pack (4 week supply) for £2.99 (cheapest I've found elsewhere is £4.99), 10ml bottles of tea tree oil for £1 (it's real, I checked!), and bump oil (kinda like bio oil by the looks of it, was beside of the bio oil in my store) for £1 for 100ml, and Mum&Me stuff for £1-£1.49, full size bottles. Everything is well within date too! Might be worth checking out if there is one in your area. Plus they have Haribo Minions!
The Mum&Me stuff seems to only be on sale until the 23rd of August btw.
Thanks for this Mrs_T_M, that's really good to know. I've been taking Pregnacare and have a 3 months supply as I bought it on a Boots 3 for 2 along with 2 packs of the Conception ones, but they're so expensive so I may give the Seven Seas ones a go. I did use their conception onces for a few months but got my BFP after switching to Pregnacare , although there were probably a lot of other factors that went into that too
Some questions for anyone to answer - as for the bump / bio oil, do you have to wait until you have a bump before you start using or is it recommended to use it beforehand to prevent/reduce stretch marks? Also, what part does tea tree oil play in pregnancy? I feel so clueless at the minute, I've got so much research to do0 -
Just a quick message to say good luck for those with scans today & tomorrow. I'm excited but nervous.
Wonderful news Sulphate, hopefully we will all be joining you very soon.

thanks a lot and congratulations to you. You're my first congratulations!!!!!
Just called my doctor but I was told he doesn't see me and I have to contact the self referral at my local maternity hospital. I hope I get an appointment soon as I have an underactive thyroid and ive heard it can cause problems!0 -

My midwife gave me 3 weeks worth of the seven seas prenatals to try, and I much prefer those over pregnacare and the centrum pregnancy that I've taken in the past. The only really big difference that I can see (I don't have a pregnacare box to compare with, but I'll get a photo of the two other %'s in a few minutes) is that the seven seas one has more zinc and ginger. I haven't had any morning sickness with this pregnancy, whereas last time I had horrid nausea and ended up losing a stone in the first trimester just because I couldn't eat. Not saying that the ginger is the reason for no morning sickness, but it can't hurt!
I have had stretch marks since I hit puberty at 11, so I've been using creams for even before I became pregnant, but I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong!) it's recommended that you start using cream or oil as early as possible to keep your skin supple so that stretch marks don't appear, or don't get as big as they could. It really hurts when mine grow, like my skin is ripping - which it technically is, so I'll do anything to keep from feeling that. I don't really care about getting stretch marks, since I'm covered in them already. I call them my tiger stripes and with all I've been through, I've earned them! :rotfl:
I bought the tea tree oil just because I love it, but it has tons of uses! I have the ok from my midwife to use essential oils during pregnancy, but it's something that you might want to check with your mw about before you do. Tea tree oil is anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-septic, anti-viral, and anti-inflammatory (but doesn't increase bleeding risk). I also think it smells lovely. Once our little one comes, I'll be adding 1-2 drops to the cloth nappy load before washing to help clean them instead of using sterilising solution or washing at an ungodly temperature. If you apply the tea tree oil (or any essential oil) to your skin, I strongly recommend that you dilute it in another carrier oil. The main thing I'll be using mine for at the moment is 1-2 drops in my shampoo each time I wash my hair to combat the mass of flakes/scales/psoriasis that has hit me hard this summer. I've had a bad scalp again since I hit puberty, but it's really bad this pregnancy!
Hope that helps!
