Really hope it turns out ok. It is amazing how many women do bleed in early pregnancy and end up fine. I know it is terrifying though. Thinking of you lollypopswater x

How are you doing now lollypopswater? Hope you are feeling ok x
  • How are you doing, lollypops? Pleased to hear you've got an appointment, even if it is tomorrow. claire16c makes a really good point about it being afterwards so they might be able to see a cause. I had to wait two days for a scan with my first bleed - just take it easy and try not to fret. I found distracting myself with a book or a film or something you can get lost in helps distract you and ease the worry for a little while at least.

It's also true in that A&E simply assess you, or at least it was in my case. They check your blood pressure, temperature, assess your symptoms and then refer you up to gynae/maternity - this is what happened to me at 6 weeks, gynae then checked to see if my cervix was open/closed and booked a scan based on the result of that. If it would put your mind at ease though, I'd go to A&E regardless. My hospital have said they would rather a mother come in if she's worried and be checked out, rather than be sitting at home worrying as that's no good for anyone.

Keep us informed, we're thinking of you.

  • Thanks - been snoozing and just woken, too scared to go and look at what's going on right now.

Sadly my hospital seem to be a but different Miss I, I was in tears on the phone to the gynae ward and whilst sympathetic she didn't give me any other suggestions.

I'm preparing myself for the worst as just can't see how it can all be ok. Really thought getting to almost 10wks I was getting out of the danger zone but it seems not.

Very glad to hear you've been able to snooze and get some rest, lollypops. I am genuinely stunned that they didn't get you in after hearing how distressed you were on the phone!

Try and stay calm - I can understand why you're preparing yourself for the worst and I can't lie and say I didn't do exactly the same thing myself when I was in your position. It may be worst case scenario, BUT it may not be! It appears that plenty of women have bleeding during pregnancy, far more than I thought did, and things are fine. Have you still not had any pain?? And how heavy is the bleeding now?

  • No pain at the minute Miss I.

The other thing that worries me is my nausea disappeared on Thursday and hasn't come back. I thought at the time it was perhaps the placenta taking over but guessing now it was something not quite as positive.
