My husband just told me tonight that he's grumpy because I'm grumpy!!! Does he not realise that I'm female and allowed to be grumpy, especially now! And that in 7 months he's gonna be getting the brunt of that grumpiness and told (screamed) that it's all his fault?!?! Hehe

    Welcome Alioops and Lemon Tree!

MrsC I've been really grumpy this weekend too. Had to take myself away from the lounge room as DH was annoying me - really just by existing! Not really his fault. Although he could be a BIT more considerate..

Off to see the consultant tomorrow to find out about the stitch. Pleased but nervous!
  • Hi ladies, well I'm 10wks today and just had a bright red gush of blood about an hour ago - now can't sleep. Just waiting for midwifes office to open so I can phone.

    Not feeling very positive :(

Oh no :( how are you now? Have you had any more?

My midwife said if I bled or had bad pain to go straight to A&E. Might be worth doing if you are worried and don't want to wait to phone the mw?

Good luck. Hope everything turns out fine xxxxx

Lollypops, I second Daisy - go straight to A&E and they'll look after you as the midwife will probably suggest you do that or go to the maternity/gynae ward at the hospital regardless. It'll be worth you going to get your mind put at rest sooner and to stop worrying. Have you had any pain at all? And how quickly did the bleeding stop? And (to be very nosey and TMI), did the bleeding fill a pad?

Do not lose hope, if you've not had any pain and the bleeding stopped relatively quickly and only filled a pad or two over several hours, things may still be okay! These were exactly like my bleeds at 6 and 9 weeks and all was fine.

Keep calm, keep your chin up and look after yourself. Thinking of you.

  • Still bleeding, not as much but still there.

A&E is quite far from here but our local hospital where midwives are is closer and that's where my scan was booked so know they should be able to help just need them to open! Left message and will try again at 8am.

Thanks Miss I, not stopped yet but has got lighter. Not filled a pad yet although was enough to soak through to bed linen in early hours of morning.

Left msg for midwife and will see if can get them again at 8am.

Don't think I've got pain just mild feeling of discomfort.

Feeling really disheartened and negative right now :(

Lighter is good and no pain is good, both positive signs. The doctors at the hospital will consider it "minimal" bleeding if you've not filled a pad in a couple of hours, regardless of the initial "gush". I find that baffling, as it certainly doesn't seem minimal at the time, does it? I had mild discomfort too and the usual pregnancy niggles.

Keep persisting with that midwife, don't wait for them to call you back. They will be able to do a scan and check on baby and try and see if there's any obvious source of the bleed (not that any of mine spotted a source until 11/12 weeks and even then they're not exactly sure what it was it could have been a number of things) and more importantly to put your mind at ease.

  • Thanks Miss I tried again and no answer but will keep trying.

Hubby working from home so he can come with me to hospital or whatever.

I am due to fly out on holiday Friday so really want to know what's going on as last thing I could contemplate is having to be treated in a Spanish hospital...
