Hi, hope everyone's feeling ok today. I just want a nap. Hopefully DD1 will watch Dd2 for me when she comes in from school, fingers crossed.

My DH is applying for a new job which hopefully he will get. Does anyone know if you can still take paternity leave once you have handed in your notice?

I'm 33+3 and am impatient already to meet DS. Good job I'm getting section/induction at least a week before my due date :D

Birdie- that's a shame you didn't get a baby shower although there's still time. I didn't get one with either of my girls so not expecting one now, esp as we've moved 500miles now

Went to the Dr's nothing they can do about my back - said to mention it the Midwife and they might be able to send me to Physio. She did ask me to go and have a blood test just to rule out my bladder and kidneys.

Hope everyone is having a nice day :)

Birdie do your friends know you want a baby shower? I didn't have one and we didn't throw one for my friend and her baby- not out of malice but she was the first of us to have a baby and none of us had ever been to a baby shower so it just didn't occur to us.
So I wouldn't be too hurt unless you've being dropping very heavy hints that you want one and maybe some clanging hints could be dropped now for a get together to the most organized friend lol

There's a facebook group, as well as the MSE newborn thread, that some have joined. If you want to join it you can PM abis21, TeamLowe or Becca with the email address you use for FB and they'll send you an invite to join, I think...

I got 4 more hours sleep, but I'm up now and getting well bored. Can't do very much and can't get comfy etc. And sick of feeling poorly now too... Meh

Half the fun of the forum is being able to post all our moans, aches, pains and unusual going ons ;)

Just make sure you have somewhere to vent even if its not on here otherwise you'll explode, and from my experience here you've always got someone to talk to :) x
  • oh in that case. Baby is huge and back to back, my back aches, hip hurts from spd, heartburn, tired, etc etc :)
