Still 3/5ths engaged as of today. MW said that she didnt think she'd become anymore engaged before labour now, eek! As today was theoretically my 38 week appointment (39 weeks tomorrow) I have to go back next week again but for 40 week appointment. Didnt discuss sweeps, just inducti9on in our area they take you to 14 days. Did anyone have a sweep at bang on 40 weeks?

Just got my letter in from work confirming my mat leave, due to return 20/12/14 MY BIRTHDAY !! However it's also a Saturday and we aren't open that day so would presume I would return on the Monday 22nd. Going to see if I can use A/L though to get me through Christmas and preferably start back after New Year, would take 6 days of AL so I feel it would be worth that rather than return to work JUST before Christmas.

It's all starting to feel so real ! Finish up Feb 28th :)

Hi Jemb, my next appt will be 40 weeks (I'll be 39+6) and I asked the midwife last time what happens re sweeps. She said I'll be offered a sweep at both 40 and 41 week appts but don't have to accept either. I suggested I might wait til 41 weeks for sweep unless I was feeling desperate to evict the little one, she was fine with that. At 41 weeks we'd also book in induction for some time before 42 weeks, but hopefully baby will come before that...

Love the booby hat! Our bf adviser at ante natal had a cuddly booby and Sesame Street style puppet with a gaping mouth to show how the baby latches on. It was very cute!

I've had the same stuffy nose and cold since xmas- any other ladies suffering as well?
I've had "pregnancy congestion" all the way through this pregnancy, I think. I can't wait to have my sinuses (and drugs!) back! This cold needs to bog right off too! I've started coughing now as well... Hope you feel better soon :o

    Thanks for including me (us!).
The first two are my step-children and my OH didn't find out for either of them - #1 boy is 17 now and #2 girl is 13. The little boy we have together, #3, who is 4 years old, we didn't find out but I really wanted to. I seem to lose on this one. :p
:rotfl: I think you'd lose in my house too ;) Thankfully DH and I agreed on not finding out ;) Why did you really want to know, out of interest?

I was offered one (it would've been the day after my 40 week appointment (I was 39+6 on the usual clinic day)), but I didn't bother.

AFM: DH is getting more anxious/on edge about MiniZee being overdue/imminent... neither of us will feel any better/more secure until we hold him/her in our arms, but I sort of feel a bit guilty - as if I'm the one holding out on him or something ridiculous :o

I do wonder just how long this child's legs are though, cos I can feel where the bum is and I can feel where the feet are poking out...there's quite a gap in between!

Was so excited when I saw you'd posted on here BZ! I don't have any time for posting any more, but I'm still lurking like a fiend for your announcement.

Thinking of you and hoping everything goes smoothly, quickly and as painlessly as possible (and SOON :D)

Can't wait to see you (and all the other lovely posters) on the newborn thread

Con - Mine is a trolley case and a very large handbag and that's if I have to transfer!

Claire16c - I hope for an easy birth and baby to make up for a hard and rough pregnancy too. I actually wished the pregnancy away at about 14 weeks :o - I'm mortified now when I think of it!

Fran- o - Happy Anniversary! Being active makes my spd worse! I usually have to be helped around at night and house bound the next day if I do anything active - ie walking, cleaning the house. Not that it's stopped me yet!

So much you have said applies to me too. Until we had our private scan at 17 weeks I was finding it so hard to be positive or enthusiastic about being pregnant because I'd felt so unwell and had so many hurdles. I feel so bad and guilty now about some of the things I said to hubby. Once I saw her again and knew she was a little girl with a name it all seemed to click for me.
If I do too much then I need a day or too for the SPD to settle down after- its so hard trying not to do things though!
I'm thinking trolley case for me now and overnight bag for babies bits, or is that too much and looks like I'm moving in for the week?
Baby girl has just discovered that if she stretches her legs out she can reach mamas ribs. Strange sensation.

There were knitted boobs at my breast feeding session the other night....nice stress relivers!!! :rotfl:

Just back from MW, one whole hour sat waiting for her on wooden chairs = sore numb bum! My blood pressure is high, she's concerned about my swelling, bump is measuring too big (38 @ 34wk) and she 'thinks' the babies head is down but unsure so she is sending me for a growth scan. Unfortunately the hospital phone line was closed so got to wait for her to call me tomorrow now. Pretty happy to being sent for a scan, get to see little man again :D and would like to know whether he is head down or breeched (was breeched 3 weeks ago)

DH is on nights tonight and I'm hankering for salt n pepper chips! Got a sudden urge for them.....think I might have to go and get a portion, thou really don't fancy going out again. :rotfl:

    Good evening,

Hope everyone is ok. I have had a painful day - my back is really hurting it happens every few days and I am hoping that is it just the way little miss is and when she moves it will stop. I have an appointment at the Dr tomorrow morning.

I have 12 weeks left at work and when I say that it makes me think that might seem as long as the first 12 weeks of pregnancy which dragged sooooooo bad.
