Phew, I made it into work without slipping on the ice
If that's my only achievement today I'll be happy. My colleagues are a bit surprised that I'm still walking 40mins to and from work but it beats the bus any day which just makes me ill.
Ohhh, congrats nickit
Sorry to hear your LO has jaundice TL, it makes them sooo sleepy doesn't it?
I though DS was a dream baby as he slept so well for the first few weeks then when the jaundice disappeared he was cluster feeding constantly and sleep went out the window!Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Coincidentally I was reading about jaundice a few days ago (long story to do with my grandmother and her friend's grandaughters baby!) and everything I came across said something about basically you need to breast feed as much as you can to help get it out of their system, so that makes perfect sense - I guess his little body was telling him what to do!0 -

I remember DH putting ice-cold cans on DS's feet to see if that would wake him up to feed and DS wouldn't even stir! (this was after the bf counselor told us that 4hrs was really too long between feeds)Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

lulu - have the cabriofix car seat from my first baby - we thought it was great.
nikit - good luck - hope everything has gone well.....(edited as I'm reading on - congrats on your pink bundle - Paige is a lovely name
Kynthia - I made a list of what I needed for this baby (already have an almost 2 year old) and it was over £1k! It is insane how things can add up. We shaved a bit off of that estimate but it's still costing a small fortune and I have my mat leave to cover finances wise too......
mrshappy - welcome and congrats on team pink
kerri - massive congrats on your little lady finally arriving. Hope you're recovering well, x
Home births - I must say I've never even considered having one with my first baby or with this one. I prefer the thought of knowing if anything was to go wrong, a hospital is the best place to be with all the professionals, the expertise and the equipment around. It is good though that there is a choice for ladies who feel this is best for them.
Claire - thanks for the reminder - when do I need the jab for whopping cough? I love those photos - you have a beautiful bump. Thanks for sharing them
robotsindisguise - that's great news - really pleased for you and your partner.
lush - We've looked at our budget for the rest of the year and already know that during my mat leave/pay reduction, it will be tight tight tight! Already now trying to spend on things unless we absolutely have to, and hoping my work bonus in March will give us a little bit of a cushion. Could get interesting about September :rotfl:
1dayAAT - congrats to you and your partner. Plenty of women are having babies later these days and as the last one went well, that can only be a good thing.....
mysecretalias - glad that everything went well at the scan and congrats on team pink tooTTC #3..........0 -
Thrilled for you TL, I especially love Thomas' pink hat
I am really, really enjoying seeing everyone I spent so long on the TTC thread with now giving birth to lovely healthy babies.
Zippy, tell your baby to hurry up. I am lurking!!
^^ What she said!!!
Massive congratulations TL! And Zippy... I'm lurking for your birth announcement too0 -
Is anyone else getting really bored? I've got just over a week to go and I'm fed up of other people (not on here, in 'real life') over taking me! Two this week that were due in Feb have had their boys, one in the US and FB is full of beaming pics of them with babies. I feel cheated! They were due after me, and here I am still waddling around, with barrages of the incessant texts of "Is she here yet?" Erm no, I'd have probably said something already had she made her appearance!?Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140

YES!! This is exactly me (although im due in 2 weeks), the texts came in a week before Christmas and ever since I've somehow managed to keep my cool with every "you still not popped yet?" "She's keeping you waiting" - stupid, stupid texts! I think it works out four people have over taken me and despite me being happy for them, the little voice inside me has wanted to sob:oSealed Pots Challenge 7 Member #222 -£147.66:j :staradmin from Sue-UU
