Baby due 17/05/2014.
My 2nd, and my OH's 4th (we already have a 4y/o son together, and she has an elder son, 17, and daughter, 13) I'm 32 and my OH has turned 44 so she is concerned about this unexpected pregnancy at "her age" - but it was only 4 years ago that our first together was born and all went very smoothly then - and are seemingly smooth thus far again.
Excited!! Congrats to you all on the thread.Debt Free 08/08/2014

Just skimming through the last few pages, wow!! So much has happened
TL - Oh my god!! A gorgeous little boy!! Loving the pink hat. Although I am now a little bit terrified as me and OH only have a girls name and it took us such a long time to agree.
Congratulations Kerri!!! I'm so pleased for you hun and such a beautiful name :j
Congratulations to Rummer too!!
Nickit - good luck for the induction
Firefly - can't believe you're dilating already!! Wow.
Can't wait to read all these birth stories, and [STRIKE]possibly[/STRIKE] getting impatient despite being two weeks away:D
Afm. After sorting things out with LO's daddy, me and him are trying to give it another go for us and for little ones sake especially. I want her to have the best kind of future possible. Anywho, ever since last night been having bad back ache, some irregular contractions and a really firm stomach. Managed to do some [STRIKE]walking[/STRIKE] waddling and she's definitely dropped and normal bodily functions are, ahem, a struggleI will not get excited, I will not get excited
On another note I really fancy jammy toast, but a stupidly specific kind of jam - great one.
I totally forgot about the whooping cough jab, I wanted it but forgot to book itdefinitely too late now.
Who am I sending the request for the facebook page link to?

I've got a very detailed spreadsheet, a 'savings pot' that will give me £10 a week initially to fritter away on coffee shops etc and will be increased as I go along with money saved on various things (survey rewards, supermarket vouchers etc) and have been warn OH that we need to be careful for months!
(I do have a spreadsheet for pretty much everything though...)0 -
OMG what a day!!!! Woke up with pains, after being told by a grumpy midwife last night they were only Braxton Hicks, I tried my best to carry on by cleaning the fridge and doing the ironing. Phone call from the hospital, asking if I wanted to be induced today.... I bit their arm off to go in. Got to hospital, hooked up to fetal heart monitor and a contraction monitor for forty mins, still having "pains". Midwife decided to do an internal to decide whether to go pessary or gel route. But was 3cm and too far to be induced!!!! Instead I was told to walk around the hospital as long as I could so my waters could break. Husband grabbed a sandwich and literally on his last bite I felt a pop inside and my waters broke. So made our way back to the assessment unit. Labour ward was rammed so was in a small ward of women all halfway through induction process. Was in absolute agony, they did another internal and decided it was time to go to labour ward. By this time I was begging for an epidural, I have laboured twice but never known pain like this. I was internally examined again to be told I was 4cm and most of my waters still intact. I was devastated, the midwife kept trying to put me off the epidural, but I absolutely insisted. I had a cannula put in my hand and the anaenathist was spraying my back and getting ready to numb the area, he waited for the next contraction and it broke my waters and it was gushing out everywhere!!!! TheniI felt her pushing into my bum and that was it ten minutes later she was born.... Paige Georgia was born at 16.27 and weighed 8 pound five. She's absolutely gorgeous and at 7.30 we were in the car and on our way home to meet her big sister and nanny and grandad!!!!Perfect princess arrived 13.01.14
